All we have is a Abram's words that there is stuff to be found. Is there really? Maybe looking for something which isn't there is enough to generate hype these days.

I think everyone is looking too deeply into obscure trains of thought. If there is nothing new and concrete by the weekend or the Abrams-folk haven't thrown us a bone then I'm going to lose interest.


And not just that but if this is just teasing us I am going to be so peeved that I will boycott the darn movie when it does release...

So what in biblical mythology has connections to the slew of references in the trailer? The three great monsters.

In Jewish belief, Behemoth is the primal unconquerable monster of the land, as Leviathan is the primal monster of the waters of the sea and Ziz the primordial monster of the sky.

1) The first monster roar is accompanied by an earthquake (Behemoth)
2) The second monster roar is accompanied by a huge fireball (Leviathan, for it can breathe fire)
3) The third monster roar is accompanied by the flying Statue of Liberty head (Ziz).

Not convinced?

The guy who says "maybe we can get a better view from the roof" has the Slusho logo on his shirt. Slusho is a classic J.J. Abrams icon, and it has appeared in both Alias and Lost, which are his shows.

Slusho.jp has, by now, been confirmed as a part of the viral marketing campaign revolving around 1-18-08. Japan. Strangely enough, the character Rob, who is present in the trailer, was gonna fly to Japan a day after that party and the monster events.

Let's have a look around on that site. Not all pages are accessible. But there is an odd feature about the pages that are available. The main page background is on land, the Downloads page background is on air, and the History page background is on sea.

Furthermore, the six buttons on the main page cause popups of various animals, namely a Horse, a Whale and a Bird. Behemoth, Leviathan, Ziz.

 		We all keep going to back the Apocalyptic Stuff, but, we already know that most likely this film begins with a clean up crew. A clean up crew who find the recorder with the "incident" on it. I've said it before...and I'll say it again..

I highly doubt that there will be a clean up crew after the Apocalypse...unless they are God's clean up crew... and then they wouldn't need a camera to tell them what happend


... although it would be nice, this is not the Buffy The Vampire Slayer Movie... None of our characters seem to be super-human-save-the-world-from-the-wrath-of-God-or-Satan kind of people.. they are "It's Alive, It's Huge!" .....kind of people.. this doesn't seem to be a scenario were apocalypses get stopped once a week... you know...

Yeah, probably not, but people seem to think that the "Three Great Monsters" theory is a new one, which it isn't. I think it would make a good movie though, probably not this one.

I agree, it would make a kick ass film... I would love to see it, but it's not this one. It'd need a budget of at least $200 million... not $30 million.

I think that we will only get glimpses of this Big Bad... and never see the whole thing...

The only anagram that seemed even remotely interesting was "A Maze Back". There might be others.

Beyond that, each of these three letter sets is associated with a number.

AKM (six holes in the wood)
ACE (1987-2004 -or- 1967-2004)
ABZ (3293)

Can anyone make anything out of this? Or has this been discussed previously?


Searched and couldn't find if this had been mentioned... But has anyone given thought to AKM = Arkham?

Hiya,

It's probably another of these dead ends (or something that's already been mentioned that I've not been able to uncover in the forum search) but a search in google for Noriko Yoshida found the following haiku on a page dedicated to flocking geese (like on the Slusho site):

Late autumn
flocking birds come and go
fiery sunset

It's interesting as it mentions the fiery sunset like in the flash movie but maybe the date of the site classes it out and it's probably a very common name.

Now, I could be a little off here... so correct me if I am wrong.

Leviathan- in the bible in the books of Isiah, Job and Psalms

But, I am pretty sure that Ziz and Behemoth are from Jewish Folklore and Rabbinic Tradition. Not Revelations.. not the Bible.

edit- Behemoth is mentioned in the Bible (Job), along with Leviathan. But mentioned also along with goats, sheep etc... leading some scholars to believe it was a mundane animal
