More like a half-assed attempt at what we already know here. Hell, on their summary page they even think that the monster is "referred internally as Godzilla."

"The Japanese-looking cartoon advertisement for the Slusho beverage has hidden information about the movie in its company's history section."

I think we already established this, JJ... >_>

That Advertising Age article says

Quote:
Two weeks ago, moments before the opening credits of Michael Bay's summer blockbuster "Transformers," audiences were exposed -- and exposed seems the right term for a viral-marketing campaign -- to a recondite trailer for another Paramount film, one produced by Mr. Abrams.

So does this mean it is JUST viral- i.e. no ARG or are these marketing dunderheads and ejournalists just labeling ti as such because they don't know any different?- Is this relevant or not in otherwords?

Thanks!

Although, I am pretty sure we knew most of that stuff already. I would have liked to see the photos from the set...if they aren't the ones we've seen already...

I know we have asked this before... but we have gained and lost some folks here

Anyone going to Comic-Con????

Marketizing
Ever wondered where those Marketing degrees ended up

If this ends up anything like LOST then much like a 45 minute episode it will be made up of:

5 minutes of previously
20 minutes of uneventful relationship history
10 minutes of arguementative dialogue
10 minutes of actual relevant progressive content

If you spliced all the relevant stuff in each lost series you end up with about 5 actual episodes of progressive content and the rest generally padding.

So expect a 20 minute film lasting 2 hours

The images in our minds are far more powerful then those beamed onto the screen so I suspect we will be left leaving the cinemas with more questions then the one that will be answered which is what was the trailer all about? cue Cloverfield leaf 2, 3 and 4 whos a lucky guy... Smile

Schrodingers cat, go on you know you want to look inside the box Exclamation

I am an avid Lost watcher... and I do have to agree with you there...

But, the Pilot episode????? No way!!! That episode Rocked and most of the first season and that is what JJ was truly involved in... the rest is all Damon Lindleoff and Carlton Cuse... they are the ones to blame...

I think we will get something good out of this.. Hope..Hope...

One other thing I forgot

Quote:
Hi, I've been lurking on the site since Ilovebees, I love the whole ARG thing, I'm just not very good at them and don't usually have anything to contribute. I've made it about 75% of the way through this thread, though it's a little taxing, so sorry if these two things have been suggested already. One, someone mentioned that NY1 was a real news station, maybe we should look for any ads that are out of place or fictional on their site or maybe some stories that were seeded in as a promotional deal? Also since there is a site for Slusho which was one of the filming code names then logically Cloverfield would have something to it, maybe an anagram or something like that? I dunno, just two things I've been mulling over, don't know if anyone else has already tried these avenues.

No one said anything about these already being checked out, so I was going to stop scrutinizing these if they had. Also I'm trying to zoom in on different parts of the History section of the Slusho site and noticed that when I zoom in on the last page of the History section I seem to be getting a little bit of a flash bug, at least that's what I assume it is. I keep trying to zoom in on the six exclamation points after "life!!!!!!" but everytime I do the text goes away and leaves the rest of the picture. Kind of odd. Also I'm sure someone has metioned the typo in the first page of the history where they put "form" instead of "from". Didn't know if any of these would be helpful or not.

Begins with the end? Like 1/2 the episodes of Alias and Lost? Like MI:3? What a surprise... Rolling Eyes

Meh, I think more than anything it shows that no one knows jack shit about this movie, lol. The people reporting are probably pulling our ruminations of this websites and other forums like it and pawning it off as fact. All the rumors we've already discredited are the ones they keep rehashing in all the stories.

The only thing really to do is focus on what we KNOW and keep plodding along until a CONFIRMED report comes out stating that this isn't an ARG after all.

It looks poorly photoshopped (key word, looks). Especially that Slusho! logo peeking out from the left side.
I mean.. if it were a real photo from the set... I don't think there would be something flying through the air unless it were connected to strings. The 'monster' would be CG'ed in later. That just looks like a pelican minding its' own business.

Sorry Sorry Sorry Guys. As most of you know. I was not telling the truth (Which by the way is lying, but shhh) I was just trying to see if i could make it to 100 posts. And stir up the board a little. And well i did both. Please dont hate me guys i love imdb. i just wanted to show how easy it is for people to get all crazy about a movie. its soo funny but i do the same too. I sit on the boards and talk about lost and this movie and its sooo much fun. And to me the best part is the people that are sooo full of *beep* and they know it and they try so hard to get people going. For the record i am not one of those people....well maybe just this once i was. Sorry for that. Honestly dont hate me. i just wanted to have fun and make it to 100 posts. I love you guys. =) and i am expecially sorry to those who actually thought i was telling the truth.(Not many of you) and also great + fast research guys/girls.

All of what is posted below was fake....Delete it off your blogs...and now lets find the real truth. My little ponies

Hope this hasnt been posted already. Ok so i was checking out the slusho.jp site and i was trying to figure out there backdoors and whatnot. so i typed in. http://slusho.jp/swf/home.swf and that came up with a part of the flash. then i went and tried out http://slusho.jp/swf/main.swf and it showed me another part of the flash. then for the hell of it i tried of http://slusjo.jp/swf/slushozoom.swf and a quick flash video came up that just kept flashing http://www.1-18-08.com/images/ so i went there and under the category tree list was one image file called slushozoom.jpg and ladies and gentlemen here it is! i saved the file. and now when you go to http://www.1-18-08.com/images/ all you get is Forbiden. but i personly will keep checking back. Other then that bird creature thingy, whats with the smoke on the building. and the Slusho Sign! at least i think thats what it is. and the camera crew. is this filming? so confused. oh well. have fun.
