I think I agree here... because why title it an AIM Icon ( there are other IM, Boards and things that use avatars and icons) specifically and then have it not be the right size??

There is something to the AIM thing, there has to be... it just does make sense

Any other time, I'd be very inclined to agree. Now? I'm not at all sure.

The Slusho site has shown serious signs of really sloppy or lazy design. They loaded a new version of the site to take care of some problems (like no way to get back to the home page, the "Menu (Flavors)" and "Distribution Opportunities" links that ended up getting cleaned up, and the link language that was different on the sub-pages than the home page). Then there was the crazy thing that happened a couple of nights ago with the animals that pop up when you mouseover the bubbles (they got all out of sequence, then it straightened out after a couple of hours).

There's also the rasterized graphic on the bottom of the home page in opposition to the vector graphics everywhere else.

I'd like to think it all meant something significant in game-terms, but it all seems to come down to sloppy work.

I honestly don't want to burst any bubbles. I'd love for all those anomalies to be clues to deeper mysteries for us to unravel.

1-18-08 site

and, while looking at the site, and tossing the pics around...as i normally do 'cause i don't know what the hell to do w/ them...i lined them up, upside down. the "A" for AM looks like the symbol used math/autocad for a protractor, or measured angles.

could these be degree'd measurements? longitude latitude?

the 6's become 9's now...any takers?

well it could be both- there might be deeper mysteries to slusho- but there also might be a bunch of gaffs, too- and it might seem shoddy but that is something we had to learn to live with in TLE for example- people would howl like crazy whenever there was a mistake but face it people screw up from time to time. so one doesn't rule out the other.

They added the "TM" the same day it was launched, most probably to ensure people don't immediately start marketing and profiting from it. Those two letters alone prevent anyone else from profiting using the site visuals.

I am pretty sure the "tm" didn't show up until a few days later

OK, I might be incorrect in my timeline; the days are blurring together. But, yes, the first time I saw it it wasn't there... and eventually it was.
