 		there is no doubt in my mind that this is a sequel to E.T.
perhaps he wasn't as giddy as miss barrymore thought he was?

haha actually, i'm starting to mess with the preview - see if i can find anything. i've found a few bits and pieces that look like words. ill post them when i get the chance.

 		I'm starting to get jealous of the EHWR kids. They've been pushing and pushing that 1-18-08 is connected ((click for a blog comment))
and we've been pushing and pushing that its not.

but look at the cool stuff that's going on in ehwr land. a lot of it similar.

i still refuse to buy the aicn email, i did since day one. i just don't see a HUGE star like JJ emailing a fanboi site. i just don't.

and i still refuse to believe that ehwr and 1-18-08 are connected...but i'll have a knuckle bite of a moment if i realize they are-i was orginally following both and then exclusively followed 1-18-08

this $h!t is frustrating!

also: i don't know how much i trust the ehwr follower's judgement they are still in total belief that slushozoom.com is real

 		AICN has been around for years and is very well entrenched in Hollywood. JJ is far from the most famous person to e-mail them, or do interviews or meet them. Or invite them to events.

satoshi emails
yea i emailed him 163 times, in case that was part of the gimmick, but all i got was 163 automated responses. i numbered each email with a number so i could keep track and some of my email's got double responses. also, is it normal to have 163 emails all having the exact same message varry from being 972 bytes to 797 bytes ?

i wonder if theres any tid bits there...the sign is made up of pictures

i think someone did before and thought they saw a bunch of numbers in the trailer thread, but we aren't sure if they are, or what the pictures are

Earlier today I suggested just to put a new image on 1-18-08.com, something that wouldn't be a clue but would show that there's going to be at least some continual release of this. Like a jar of pickles. It could be taken the day before just to make sure the camera was working for the big party. An hour or so later, I had this ready:

At least when I photoshop stuff, it looks plausible. An update to the flash code would take 3 minutes, another 3 minutes to embed the image in another flash movie, 1 minute to upload the changes. An hour and change, and you'll keep your fans guessing at the relevance of pickles for a week, buying you your time to have something substantial to release at comicon.

so you'd be okay with good ol JJ stringing us along with a pic of say pickles as posted above, but don't think just a short moment of heart pounding jaw dropping till somoene goes to the site to see for themselves is at least a bit funny?

Sometimes you need to crank the starter a little harder than usual to get the engine running, know what I mean?

 		Is there an updated "wiki" on everything that's been dissected about the trailer itself? I finally got the big HD version and have been going frame by frame. My theory is that clues in the trailer are things that are highlighted either by being focused or by being obvious or repeated (such as the time on the clock above the door--10:15).

I noticed several things I don't think anyone's mentioned (besides the fact that Rob knows some pretty sweet chicks); but I don't want to waste anyone's time posting anything that has already been covered.

Lastly, is there a way to rip the sounds from the .mov so they can be played around with (e.g., backtracking the first roar)?

This thread is byfar one of the most active threads/forums dedicated to this so Id stick here before any wiki info. In case you havent seen the youtube videos, they keep covering evrything we talk about first and most of them seem to be VERY out of date and out of the real loop. Some of them are downright weeks behind.

 		I was looking around some other forums out there. Some have more posts than us and are LIGHT YEARS behind us, but as I have not been on as much as I was day one, does anyone know the relevance of this?:

 		401 Broadway
401 Broadway is important, I think. The billboard is prominent and it gets whacked by the SOL head, just to emphasize it. The building in the trailer is a replica of the real thing, so it can be confirmed that the sign does say 401 Broadway (the "Broadway" is a bit fuzzy, even in HD). Interestingly enough, the real building--which is very well known at something of a landmark in Tribeca--was the subject of some pretty heated controversy last year:

This may be the filmmaker's not-so-subtle commentary on that issue. It also may be worth noting that the Tribeca Tribune is housed in that building (they did the article above), so there may be clues in their classifieds section. Their website is pretty crappy, unfortunately. Couldn't find anything there. Maybe something's posted--website, other clue on some billboard or spray painted on one of the shelter platforms (for construction) nearby.
