you went to http://www.statueofliberty.com
and typed 1-18-08 into the search box, right? And what does every single link have in common? Yeah, it's "just a search engine", agreed, but the LINKS, baby, the LINKS all = Voltron. I mean... you know?

o.k. the whole SOL, and someone saying the size is not to scale. I found this...

(and yeah, I don't know if it was posted before in the 288 pages of this topic)

From 1902 to 2002, visitors to Midtown Manhattan were occasionally disoriented by what seemed to be an impossibly nearby view of the statue. They were seeing a 37-foot (11 m) high replica located at 43 West 64th Street atop the Liberty Warehouse.[7] In February 2002 the statue was removed by the building's owners to allow the building to be expanded.[8] It was donated to the Brooklyn Museum of Art which installed it in its sculpture garden on October 2005, and plans to restore it on site in spring of 2006

SO maybe that head was what was seen in the trailer

look at those results!

Someone explain, pls.

New York and the Statue of Liberty are not really searching their own database; they are passing your request to an external search engine. (It's not Ask.com, not Google.) If you hover over the links of the results, every one is going thru overture.com -- which is owned by Yahoo. Basically you're getting the same results as if you typed "1-18-08" into a Yahoo search, possibly modified in the background by local New York weighting and sponsored linkage. And we all know how much buzz and incorrect data there is out there on the intarwebz for that search term!

I don't know, because when I type 1-18-08 into, like, ANY other search engine, I get tons of hits for JJ Abrams, Cloverfield, etc, these are all just Voltron products and have zilcho to do with Abrams, minus the 1-18-08 search phrase. If you go to overture.com and do a search on 1-18-08, you get hits for the cloverfield website, and a bunch of Abrams related stuff. So, as far as I know, typing 1-18-08 into
http://www.statueofliberty.com
yields a unique set of Voltron product hits, and zero about the film.

research based on interview (fake or not)

I decided to spend the last hour working on "Jensen" because as I posted earlier, I think that is who Rob may be yelling for at the end of the trailer.
I came up with this and please follow the links in the order they appear (as I found them):

http://www.janejensen.com

http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Gabriel_Knight

notice in the above link that it mentions her next project "Gray Matter", which led me to this:

http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Gray_Matter

hmm.......the father becomes addicted to the beer which eventually changes his form?????

What do you guys think?

Thank You

Again, I don't know if it will amount to anything but it peeked my interest.

The SOL head in the trailer is actual size, as has been proven many a time in the past.

Look in Wikipedia for exact dimensions of the statue's head.

it's about the size and weight of an H2.

It's not a find, it's a moderately diverting sequence of vaguely related web pages.

Would that not be a "FIND?"

In the case of unraveling this ARG (if there is one) or perhaps investigating the mysterious plot of this movie, obviously not.

I'm not going to begin and dissect your "find", but suffice to say it doesn't help us. Completely unrelated.
