Has Anyone Thought of a Gargoyle Type Movie? Im thinking if i seen a Statue That should be Alive id Be Saying SOmthing Like Holy Damn Its alive....The Hass Website is More then LIkely Somthing to do with the cthulhu movie coming out maybe....the presence of millatary so quickly is odd unless they new about this long ago which brings me to the slusho zoom website.... most of the links on the site have to do with medical research....maybe research that has gone wrong? also the Phrase Extinct Does not Always Mean Dead Really sticks out to me....maybe a dino movie.... who knows.....

As for Ethan Haas, and Slushozoom. definitely not, Ethan Haas is completely unrelated to Cloverfield and slushozoom is a gamejack.

If you'd care to look at the top three threads in this forum, there's a few stickies and announcements which help cover situations like this, and they're not to make the forum look purdy Wink

Steps to a pretty forum:

enough with speculations on what the movie is about. discussion on this board is for group help on solving the "ARG", not what the plot is. i realize this has been brought up before... but from the looks of it, this needs to be repetitively bashed into your skulls. if you have nothing to contribute for the benefit of this "ARG", then kindly shut the Censored up.

For starters, I don't think we've seen enough evidence what kind of game this is going to be. From the looks of the trailer photo site, that game is all about guessing the plot of the movie! If the Slusho site is there to establish the setting for an ARG, then it has done its job. We'll get back to solving "the ARG" when a new puzzle is presented -- the current ones (if any) have already been milked dry.

Discussion on this whole forum is for whatever its members feel like discussing. We might organize topics into separate threads, and direct people to be on point within a topic, but if this many people want to discuss a movie, then that's what they'll post. You don't have to read every word, just skip to the next post.

And lastly, it's terribly rude to tell someone to shut up, ruder still to use such language (which has been removed), and just not how we want this community to treat one another.

I thought the purpose of this thread was to put all of our heads together and figure things out. There was collaboration in the earlier pages, but all I see now is someone bringing up an idea, and someone else telling that person to shut up.

Have you looked at how many pages this thread is? The fact is, people keep bringing up ideas that have already been brought up and DON'T NEED TO BE POSTED. OR they are posting spec that should GO IN THE SPEC THREAD. This thread is for the purpose of solving the ARG only. THAT is what people have been getting mad about. Right now there should be barely any posting. We're waiting for something more to happen. When someone has a new idea, it goes here...but I've only seen about 2 pages of helpful discussion in the past 30 which means that people need to stop posting. Don't post bashing (I realize I'm being hypocritical here), don't post spec, use the search function so you don't repeat ideas, and please...for the love of the gods, stop whining. All of you. This includes me.

Here, i'll solve this problem. Let's LOCK this thread.

The original purpose of this thread was to ponder the initial trailhead. We now have multiple threads to discuss the movie trailer site, the photos, the Slusho site, the movie plot, the monster, the backstory, the meta behind the scenes, the meta of whether or not this in an ARG, etc. etc. It is common practice on the unforums for us to lock the initial trailhead thread when a game gets its own forum.

Find the issue you wish to discuss and take it there. Start a new thread ONLY if there is a completely new aspect of this "game" that has not already been isolated.

just went to http://www.1182008.com and http://WWW.1182008.COM/index2 and on the first page it says that the traveler is coming then it says the traveler is coming be patient..................ROB is traveling,also it changes the URL to beschutzen.com and beschutzen is german for to protect or to guard so the traveler.......rob.........is coming to protect maybe he will find the secret ingredient in japan

 		what were the exact words by that carnie guy in coney island? did he say clean up crew exactly? perhaps he was told to say that as a clue. why would he choose clean up crew rather than rescue crew? Perhaps clean up crew meant some sort of force that comes to stop the monster. Perhaps the movie starts with the monster already in process of rocking NYC off the map, and then this force comes to stop it, sees the video and decides to play it, most of the movie is the camcorder playing, then once that end, the final fight comes between monster and savior force!

Are you talking about in the magazine or the trailer? If the trailer: yes, we know all about it. If the magazine: you best not not talking about Fallout, because I can assure that isn't involved.

Ok,

Going to throw some stuff out there that may have already been discussed.

Inside the apt, during the trailer, there is a paddle with AKM written on it in large letters.

AKM can stand for Alpha Kappa Mu....a fraternity, or honor society started in 1937. Same year lovecraft died, so maybe going back to cthulu.

Further, black SUV outside of the party when the statue head falls, clearly see the licesne plate reading ABZ 3293. Haven't found anything with those, but it is so clear in the trailer it seems suspicious.

Wondering if anyone has done anything with those.
