If that's true, why didn't J.J. Abrams say anything about it at Comic-Con? And, how would Paramount ever agree to make a movie that DEPENDS on a 6-month ARG? The trailer was meant to grab everyone's attention, and relatively few people play ARG's.

I can't imagine how the movie could "wrap everything up" - that would detract from both the movie (since it would depend on an ARG that's apparently being kept a secret, even from potential players, and that nobody seems to be able to make any real headway on so far), AND from the ARG (since it would be over once the movie 'wrapped it all up'). We should remain very skeptical until someone can verify that information.

Curiously, though, this reminds me of something else about The Beast From 20,000 Fathoms (and then I'll shutup about that movie). In a 2-page magazine ad for the movie (back in 1953), there was this: "To be preceded in every exchange area by the most spectacular day-date TV and radio saturation yet conceived in this industry or any other!" Strange, eh?

Any one else still not believe.

Product placement of the camera in the new photo shows how they will pay off the 30 million before the boxoffice evin opens
also he blatent jack daniels ad on jamie's page

What's with product placement now a days in movies and now ARGs? Kind of annoying. If you've ever seen the Island you'll want to kill whoever thought of it.

Anyway I'm not noticing much in the way of hints and clues on the myspaces. I've started reading all of the blogs.

It doesn't seem like Rob is as white-collared as we thought he was. What kind of boss goes away and gives everyone the day off? That just doesn't happen in a serious company. Still he's the only one with a real career job that is mentioned.

Everyone else seems like your run of the muck average 20-30 year olds. Heavy drinkers, partiers, stuff like that. Nothing quite stands out.

We also know that they did indeed say "Where is Jason?" in the trailer. Jason being, I think, Slusho! guy, and brother of Rob.

G%@$#it! Why did these SOBs start this in the afternoon while I'm at work. Our net doesn't allow flash to come through, and I can't even look at the 5th image on the site (thanks for posting it here, though). Anyone check out to see if there are changes on Slusho? Can't get there, from where I am. Freakin' IT police.

There's going to be another 50 pages to slough through when I get home. Crap.

Thanks to things like Tivo and DVRs as well as spam and pop up blockers advertisers have to find new ways to market their wares- expect lots more product placement in the future.

Nothing new on the Slusho! site. Those same three pages are still missing.

According to the myspace, Rob is 24, single, and works in marketing.

Marketing for Slusho? Who knows.

I did a search through the pages, not to mention that I sat up until 4am the other day reading them all, but I didn't find anything on this.

Does anyone know what the back of the sign at the end of the trailer says? It's to the right of the statue of liberty's head, and it clearly says "dead" and then I cant make out the bottom word. From the looks of it, it appears to have been written on the sign before the post was screwed onto the back of it.

It might not be/probably is nothing, but you never know.

Cant you comment blogs on myspace's even if you aren't friends with the person? I am too chicken to try.

[i saw that sign too. I thought it said diadead or something.]

If you go to

http://www.1-18-08.com/photos_8.swf

you can flip the pictures around easier. If you get the pictures by themselves (not behind any other ones, that is) it's easier to flip them.

Also, anybody else getting a button that says "--" on it on the main page? It only shows up every now and then when I load the page, and when I hover over it it disappears.
