In the trailer the city is being destroyed.
On the Website, ethanhaaswasright.com, the city behind the puzzle spheres starts out whole and later in the puzzles ends-up destroyed

If it is a coincidence that both sites feature cities being destroyed then it is a coincidence but for my money I'm gonna say they're related

I wouldn't think this is a shot at global warming (but who knows yet), but to the question of why would it be 63 degrees in NY January - this could be a possible oversight - one of those bloopers?

If the reports of the secret movie being filmed in Los Angeles are connected, they could've filmed chunks of that trailer in sunny wamr Cali and didn't think about the temperature being different in January on the east coast, which would likely be blizzard conditions, if not bone biting cold. Laughing

Then again, that could tie in with the speculated earthquake - maybe part of the backdrop deals with bizarre weather changes that have some otherworldly origin and not so much global warming. Like planets lined up and cause a shift or something and it breaks open some tomb and something flies out and comes alive, that sort of thing. Not saying it is, just the train of thought for the temp issue if it's not a glaring oversight on the film makers.

I would say yes, coincidence....here's why again:

cities being destroyed by "X" isn't a unique concept.

Cities were destroyed in Transformers, Independence Day, Red Dawn, Day After Tomorrow, War Of The Worlds, the 911 movies, and on and on and on, and for what it's worth, NY is like the token target for massive largescale destruction anyway. From alien attacks to wars, to natural disasters, it's nearly a take it to the bank guarantee that NY is gonna get wiped out or take a major hit.

Two games where NY is laid to waste does not in any manner make them related. Just coincidentally using the same archetypal premise which is being done to death in every 2nd movie that comes out.

And for what it's worth, after 911, I personally think they oughtta lay off NY getting nailed every time some government shit goes awry and maybe pick on some other location.

JJ Abrams is too damn creative to being marketing a movie (that's been kept pretty secret) with such genius to let us down on this one.

So, what he have FOR SURE is:

-2 weird photos
-1 trailer

I don't know about you, but I think we're missing something with these photos and their abilities to be moved/adjusted.

 		Orlando address...
Hello all once again! I got a chance to swing by that Orlando address today... and, super long story short - BIG red herring (or someone's goofy idea at a joke).

The address is real, and is part of that subdivision. None of the maps I've seen portray the area perfectly (the Google one is VERY old, not showing any houses, and Mapquest has the houses in it except for one 'block' that just shows dirt, for some reason....). There is a house there that is the exact address, but it is just some guy's house.

I took some pics leading up to the place: one sign out on 50/Colonial - just to show the '407' area code to prove I really was there; one of 419/Chuluota which you can see if you Mapquest/Google/whatever the address; one of the street sign; and one of the house #.

Also, again, long story short - through a strange turn of events I ended up talking to the guy at the house. I tried to reassure him that this wasn't a creepy thing (don't know if I succeeded....) but let him know that his address was on the internet as being a registered owner of that website under "Van (something)" (couldn't remember the last name... hah). He just said "Reeaaaly?" He asked if that was why I was taking pictures and said yeah, that was why, and that I wouldn't show any pics of his house or anything since I respected his privacy, and he was cool with that. This is why the last pic (I hope they post!) only shows the house # - this was a bum lead and seems like his address was picked at random and I don't want to see the guy have anything bad happen or anything. I read in a previous post from theonetruebix that Van changed his address to Canada now? So, maybe this is a good thing.

Anyway, here are the pics.... and we can consider the Orlando link busted.

 		Does anybody else think that the whole 'Evil Figure in the Hair' thing is just crazy? Like seriously. It's just hair. I'm sure if there was supposed to be some evil figure, it would be a lot creepier than that. That just looks like a drawing, by a five-year-old. It's just hair, seriously. Who else agrees?

Legit, or no?
After lurking for a few hours, I decided to jump in here. I have a question. If this has been brought up, I apologize. I ran a search, but couldn't find anything. After toying around with the pics on the movie website and doing a little research, I stumbled onto the info on imbd. There's someone on there called "My_Name_Is_Van" that seems to stink of fake, but they've spent nearly all day posting on the forums there.

Most recently, an anagram that reads "Filled If Riotous Toy".

Has it been determined that this person is bogus, or no?

If this has been covered, I must've overlooked it. Just let me know. This will be my first true ARG (assuming that's what it turns out to be), where I've actually gotten involved. I spent a little bit of time with the Year Zero ARG, and the "Wyoming Incident" ARG, but had way too much going on to dedicate a ton of time to it. Now that things have settled down, I'm able.

I hope everyone is alright with me introducing myself this way. I just wanted to get involved.
