Click on one of the bubbles and you get Slusho's history. The founder's son is a leading Ocean scientist who found a magic ingrediant that turned him from "little fish" into a "whale!"

Re: Slusho site, Japanese translation

we need to get someone who can read japanese on this site right now!!!

I can read some of it. All the buttons appear to be exactly what the English says, except the "store" one reads "shop" in japanese.

I'd bet there's something hidden on the history page. Anyone know what the right most button along the bottom of the history page says?

Makes me wish I'd taken more than one year of Japanese!

Slusho!

That guy that says "Think we can see something from the roof?" has a shirt that has a Slusho logo on it. So i go to www.slusho.com which redirects me to http://www.slusho.jp/

How long has that site been there?

The site was up this morning and I've been exploring. The URL was registered (as .com) back in May, and there is still a lot to come.

The best part is the "history" link:

http://www.slusho.jp/history.html

Click that and read the story that hints at "scientific" research under the sea. Anyone know anything about these names?

Also, when you're in the Flash site, a small blue fish swims by, and if you arrow over it a thought balloon appears with the image of swiss cheese. Do the same with the sea horse, and it's thinking of a blue oven mitt. WTF?

All the other menus choices from the home page lead to "we're updating" messages, except the "feedback" option, which invites you to email satoshiSPLATslusho.jp. Send a message, and you'll get an auto-reply about how great SLUSHO! is, and YOU CAN'T DRINK JUST SIX!!!

very fond of exclamations, this Satoshi.

Anyone else have thoughts?

There aren't many links to slusho.com on google, so it must be fairly new. Especially since it was connected to the Alias show come to find out. Also, there arent any links to slusho.jp on google either.

I've been following this since the beginning, it's fun to actually find something.

Says it was created in May this year...and just for clarification purposes, this is a fictional drink, right?

Yeah, I'm actually kind of jealous I didn't think to look up Slusho, 'cause I read an article about the movie filming under that name last night.

Well, the important thing is we've got a solid lead now. And a confirmed second website makes this almost certainly an ARG, so fun fun fun!

*EDIT* Drink is fictional, yes. It's a fake variant of a 7-11 Slurpee, that the character Vaughn offered Sydney Bristow on the second episode of Alias.

First post here...

Look at the history section on the Slusho site. Bottom of the ocean, extreme pressure, arctic temperatures...And, drinking enough of it turns you into a whale? It's addictive? Sounds like a parasite to me (note the creature's nickname in production is apparently "the parasite").

Very Lovecraftian, especially with the proposed storytelling elements. I doubt it's related to the Mythos, though. My money's on 1-18-08 being the title of the film as well as the release date, since major disasters or events are often referred to by date (and 1-18-08 is a Friday).

Slusho site

Very interesting indeed, the "history." Wonder if, however, it's ploy-ish. This isn't the first "product" attached to an Abrams-ish thing, though, obviously. Lost, I believe, had some, now this one from the world of Alias, and then some.

The whole undersea thing is quite curious. Going to listen to that again, because we had the "whale" concept thrown at us, but what if it really does say "lion?" Would lend creedence to the things being tossed about about a giant foot stomping down on a building somewhere, too.

Robert at "Nonsense" has noticed that the Who Is info for the Ethan Hass Was Right site has changed, and does some investigation into John Schneckel and his company, Triton Enterprises (listed by Who Is as the site's new owners).

It should be noted that Triton is "a Greek god, the messenger of the deep, son of Poseidon" the sea god. This dovetails with the references to Lovecraft's R'lyeh, a massive city that will rise from the deep.

I emailed Satoshi, here's the auto-reply

Slusho! loves your mails!! You Can't Drink Just Six!!!

Not sure we should be drinking even 1 given the history.

Do we need to find Ganu Yashido? Ganu doesn't sound like a Japanese name does it?

Woolworth Building

@tinag222 - thank for posting those add'l photos. The big building in the background, which appears to be in some shots but not others I believe is the Woolworth Building. Photos here: http://www.nyc-architecture.com/SCC/SCC019.htm

That's just a few blocks south, about half a mile.
