 		okay, well the main reason we know that ethan haas is related to 1-18-08, IS BECAUSE VIDEOS OF THE ETHAN HAAS PUZZLE WERE PUT ON YOUTUBE YESTERDAY AND IMMEDIATLY REMOVED BY PARAMOUNT PICTURES, THE SAME PEOPLE WHO REMOVED THE 1-18-08 TRAILER. duh?

Good catch the Wiki articale was edited yesterday (July 5th @ 23:16) by user Nickelodeonfan2007. He(She) added the part you emphazied but doesn't seem legit on the surface, but haven't chased the rabbit yet.

On another note, if you actually solve all the puzzles, you see a total of six videos (which are still available on the ehtanhaaswasright). These videos speak of new order (similar to the rantings of Albert Pike) and the Ancient Ones. Van talks about the cities being destroyed and etc... Some of the descriptions of "them" seem to match up very well with Cthulhu. Take a read for yourself. I know believe very strongly that Ethanhaaswas right and Cthulhu are linked (regardless of wiki edit). In reading the description of events in the Call of Cthulhu, it matches the scene of the trailer. "It's Alive" reffering to Cthulhu sleeping or even looking like a statue and then waking. All of this falls in line with Albert Pike (tech contact), cultist, new world order, WWIII.

Just my thoughts. BTW, Ethanhaaswasright whois information isn't linked to paramount as far as i can tell, only mediatemple.net.

Some other fatcts:
1-18-08.com was registered on 3-30-07 and has similart contatct info as sector seven from tansformers
ethanhaaswasright.com wasn't registered until 6-07-07.
ehtanhaaswasright.com whois shows vaild email and the Vans email (which is a little uncommon to use the email of the site your just registered)
The phone number is in the same area as the address listed. So I am hesitant to display this because this may be a residence.

It seems that the commenters on http://ethanhaaswaswrong.blogspot.com/ have also picked up on the Cthulhu element with a number of Lovecraft quotations. The text is in sanskrit (as confirmed by the commenters) which is another big Lovecraft/Cthulhu flag.

Those commenters also claim to have translated it to:

"Are they attempting to scare us into belief?

Ethan Haas would try to strike fear in the heart of me. Do not be taken by the ramblings of a mad man my brothers and sisters. We are all safe."

Although there isn't anything specific, it does seem to have some Cthulhu-esque tones to it.

Of course, the apparent mispelling of Cthulhu (as Cthulu) on The Class wikipedia entry does make me suspect an overzealous fan, and there still is no real connection between Ethan Haas and 1-18-08.com beyond rumors.

Well Nickelodeon and Paramount are both owned by Viacom, making Nickelodeonfan2007's timely edit suspect.

 		I'm a newb to this and all, but I've been researching into this and eyeballing this forum since I saw the trailer practically. I've also been around IMDB forums a bit for it too. A lot of people are saying that it's something Lovecraftian, which from what little I know of that universe has a weird sort of almost working sense but I'm not terribly well educated in all of that. However, I've heard (I wish I could remember the source!) that there's a lot of issues with copyright or something along those lines so it sounded unlikely or maybe even something to get people off track. I kinda think it's some more original that's taken the idea of Cthuhlu and everything.

Whoever's been doing up the FAQ seems to have a good grasp on things and it's been edited at least four times that I've noticed within the last 48 hours.

Also! Has anyone had the thought that perhaps the faces in the picture match up because they are twins? I thought it was a mirror at first, but the makeup sort of running doesn't match for that. Then I thought maybe she was leaning her face against a TV and someone was filming the other side of her face. The quality between the two would be different if that were the case I'd imagine. I don't honestly think the thing behind her/them is a creature, mainly because she/they seem so intent on something ahead.

I'm still working my way through the puzzles and I have to hurry a little. They despise my laptop and I only get the desktop while moms at work. Sorry, this stuff might have been mentioned already but I love the whole ARG concept and this trailer really got me interested.

 		well i thought that too, but maybe there's 2 creatures in the picture? and they arnt noticing the one behind them cuz they're so entranced by whats in front of them classic scary movie scene or maybe the creature is lying on the ground curled up and the tail is what your seeing behind them? these are complete guesses btw...

It's a Godzilla movie

This hypothesis is based largely on a monstrous roar heard in the trailer, and glimpses of what appears to be a gigantic reptilian monster. It has been fueled by the discovery that the song, "The Joker and the Thief" by the band Wolfmother, is playing in the background; the song contains the lyric, "Standing in a field of clover" (the project has also been known as Cloverfield and Clover) and the CD cover art depicts a giant lizard. However, Sony owned the rights to the Godzilla franchise up until the time they expired in 2003. It is known that Toho, the owners of the Godzilla concept, have not sold the option to any other company since then. Since Paramount is producing this film, it is unlikely that Godzilla is involved.

It's a remake of The Host <<<< Best One, because wasnt one of the codenames for this project called, the parasite? you know like, parasite and it's host?

Based largely on the same visual evidence that supports the Godzilla theory, this line of thinking is also maybe questionable because the remake of The Host is being made at Universal.

It's a live-action adaptation of Voltron

This is based entirely on a misinterpretation of a line of dialog in the trailer. The line is commonly misheard as, "It's a lion! It's huge!," leading many to jump to the conclusion that the line refers to the lion-shaped vehicles that constitute Voltron. However, the line is actually, "It's alive! It's huge." Also, the live-action Voltron is being produced at Universal.

 		Okay, so maybe the Haas thing has legs. I've been following a bunch of tidbits. I found this on the IMDB forum for The Class:

 		Also, Godzilla, Voltron and The Host are all dead ends. Noone has the rights to Godzilla and Voltron/The Host are currently being produced by other companies.

These are completely off-track, kinda like the "lions with machine guns" theory for Lost.

 		 THE HAAS MAN!
AH HAH! so i hear alot of talk about this ethan haas person, and the ethanhaaswasright.com fiasco puzzles... soo i guess there were videos involved if you beat a puzzle, so i took a look at these videos, and they were well crypted and i'm sure use of a strobe light was involved but through image analysis i've enhanced images from the sketchy video that might help us out, i'll try to find a way to get the videos online, or at least the audio from them shortly, but this is what i have so far...
