I have to say, Map, that's pretty dang close to the one TigerLilyLynn found. Worth a shot to fold it and see what you get when you get your hands on this.

From UNBC Forum: Seance tonight, July 11 @ 6PM PST
Mildred and Mister Gerold discuss plans for a seance

(I never know how much info to bring from one forum to another.)

Good morning to you, Sammeeeees

I have just received word from the Singing and the Dancing Nun about the arrival of map two. The Dancing and the Singing Nun then passed on white rose one's last message to me. White rose one ordered, that on receipt of the first map, I am to reach out to the dark side and speak with this evil three. There is a key we must know about following the maps. This is the only way. I would like to ask only those of you without fear of this Trinity to attend this evening's seance. It is important for me and for you and for reaching those on this dark side. I would also like to ask any of the Dark Siders who have been asked to take me to this Eidolon, to attend as well. You may be able to take my hand and keep me from falling into the "in-between".
We cannot fail!!!

We will speak again in the very near future.

Mildred Harnack

edit: We will reach out at 6 pm (west coast) tonight. Come here first and I will point you to the place. We must be sure the information we receive is not given to this Eidolon.

When you reach out to this Trinity tonight, you must be careful not to promise them that they can return to this world by making this bargain. They cannot go ahead to another place either. I believe the best we can do is to send them into the "in-between". I would not dare to send them anywhere else. From my understanding, they cannot be reached by this Eidolon once wandering the "in-between". It is safest for them and for everyone else. Please make it clear to them, Mildred.

We cannot fail.

Mister Gerold

Map 1

Map 1 has been received, and here is what we are looking at ...

Map 1

The text on the map, which was written in a light pencil reads as follows ...

Part 1

Una Shilui Nukpana Soyot Wuti

Part 2 & Part 3 (Repeated)

Ke-ya wa-te, layn-yo layn-yo mah-hoy-te
Hi-ya-no, hi-ya-no, hi-ya-no
Ke-ya wa-te, layn-yo layn-yo mah-hoy-te
Hi-ya-no, hi-ya-no, hi-ya-no

This was quickly translated in #sammeeeees by a number of players (posted by Mapmaker first) as the following:

Quote:
Father Sun(Traditional Hopi chant with English translation)

Ke-ya wa-te, layn-yo layn-yo mah-hoy-te
Hi-ya-no, hi-ya-no, hi-ya-no
Ke-ya wa-te, layn-yo layn-yo mah-hoy-te
Hi-ya-no, hi-ya-no, hi-ya-no

We are one with the infinite Sun Forever and ever and ever! We are one with the infinite Sun Forever and ever and ever!

Also on Insane's map is the Hopi sun symbol. Driz posted this link on the IG message board. The sun symbol is just below the Hopi world symbol. I'm wondering if the sun symbol is being used as a compass rose, to show us how to view the map.

Could it be referring to "four corners"? The area where the boarders of Colorado, Utah, Arizona & New Mexico all intersect?

I'd bet that would be considered a very "powerful" place (at least from a US geographical point of view - not sure how the natives might view it since state borders are an invention of the "evil White empire").

We can add to this Nedd's recent post on Mildred's board that didn't add much to what we already knew ...

Found it.

Insane's map is near Winslow, Arizona, at Homolovi Ruins State Park.

http://www.pr.state.az.us/Images/parkmaps/homolovi.pdf

Gotta rotate Insane's map, but it works. The X is near Homolovi I (one of the ruins).

W00T!!!!

Happy can get there this weekend easily! That's only a day's drive from Santa Monica. About 8 hours according to Yahoo Maps.

Can you guys post the directions on UNBC Forum for her?
I-10E to CA-60 (Pomona Fwy) then I-605 N to the Foothill Fwy (I-210 E toward San Bernardino). East to I-15 N towards Las Vegas (but she's not to visit me this trip) for 58 miles. Just past Barstow is I-40 E into Arizona.

A bit over 400 miles on I-40 to exit 257 for AZ-87 N toward 2nd Mesa. Left at AZ 81 and right at Hibbard Rd.

The Dancing and Singing Nun wanted me to let her know as soon as we figured it out. I trust Happy the most .. for obvious reasons .. and so I have dropped her a line ...

Quote:
Happy!!!

I have awesome news for you! It looks like we have found the location of the first portal - and it appears that this is where we will be encountering Dr. Kinder.

Take a look at the maps below ...

They are exactly the same. So you're off to Arizona, Homolovi Ruins State Park, and Homolovi I to be specific. Be careful .. and if you need me, XXX-XXX-XXXX is where you can get in touch with me.

Keep this chant handy .. it may come in useful

Father Sun(Traditional Hopi chant with English translation)

Ke-ya wa-te, layn-yo layn-yo mah-hoy-te
Hi-ya-no, hi-ya-no, hi-ya-no
Ke-ya wa-te, layn-yo layn-yo mah-hoy-te
Hi-ya-no, hi-ya-no, hi-ya-no

PS: If you need instructions on how to get there:
I-10E to CA-60 (Pomona Fwy) then I-605 N to the Foothill Fwy (I-210 E toward San Bernardino). East to I-15 N towards Las Vegas (but she's not to visit me this trip) for 58 miles. Just past Barstow is I-40 E into Arizona.

A bit over 400 miles on I-40 to exit 257 for AZ-87 N toward 2nd Mesa. Left at AZ 81 and right at Hibbard Rd.

I included images of both maps ....

Thanks again Mapmaker for helping us out.

Any word on the other map and what it's all about?

Has anyone been trying to fold Map's map? I made a copy of it and have tried various ways of folding it. So far I have come up with something that looks like a Ham and something that looks like Mono Lake (which looks kind of like a ham). I have not been able to fold it that makes use of the "Hi" and two dots.

The "Gold Bug" reference doesn't seem to apply to anything written on Map's map. It could be a clue to the third section that we haven't seen yet or it could be a geographical clue.

I wonder if the S&D Nun would resend the second and third parts of the map. We sort of need to figure these out soon.

Edit: Oops nevermind. Ex pointed out to me that the fifth pig was found and posted on Mildred's board. http://hacklardermind.proboards60.com/index.cgi?board=general&action=display&thread=1184029760&page=2

Dash I think "The Gold Bug" was a hint to apply heat to the paper. Iirc, in the story, heat is what made the symbols on the paper appear.

ETA*

Quote:
Just as I placed the parchment in your hand, and as you were in the act of inspecting it, Wolf, the Newfoundland, entered, and leaped upon your shoulders. With your left hand you caressed him and kept him off, while your right, holding the parchment, was permitted to fall listlessly between your knees, and in close proximity to the fire. At one moment I thought the blaze had caught it, and was about to caution you, but, before I could speak, you had withdrawn it, and were engaged in its examination. When I considered all these particulars, I doubted not for a moment that heat had been the agent in bringing to light, upon the parchment, the skull which I saw designed upon it. You are well aware that chemical preparations exist, and have existed time out of mind, by means of which it is possible to write upon either paper or vellum, so that the characters shall become visible only when subjected to the action of fire.

Heard back from Happy tonight ...

Quote:
Hi Insane, Thank you for all this great information. Jayne is finally on board. She even found a ton of fun information about the Homolovi Ruins on line today. Did you know there are ton of different names for this place? I am fascinated by the Hopi. We went to spend some extra time with Ben at the Hospital and just gabbed on an on to him about the Hopi and the special place I going to. The nurses think we're nuts the way we talk to him like he's listening. Oh well, not the first time some has pegged me for being a bit off. By the way, the directions are great. Thank you. I will try to leave tomorrow for Arizona. (but I might not be able to go until early Sunday morning - I hope that is okay) Once I'm there, do I just sing that song? Is there something more to finding the portal? I'm thinking it's something with the X. Is that right? So, go to the X and sing this song? Again, thank you so much for doing all this footwork for me. I feel very confident with you guys watching my back.

I'm still Happy!

What do ya'll think? Is singing the song on the spot enough? Are we missing something?

[PUZZLE][SOLVED]Mapmaker's Fifth Pig Map

Methos put together the map on http://bloodyhill.blogspot.com/
and posted it to the wiki here.
I had been researching Bloody Hill. There was a Civil War Battle of Wilson's Creek in Missouri. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Battle_of_Wilson's_Creek
http://www.reisenett.no/map_collection/National_parks/Wilson's_creek_map.jpg is the original map. (You'll have to C & P the links, I guess the board doesn't recognize the apostrophe in the link.)
Methos applied the playing cards alphabet to the now pieced together map, which reads AEGRI SOMNIA TORMEN . AEGRI SOMNIA = A sick man's dreams (Horace)

enaxor added the torment and found http://asickmansdreamstorment.blogspot.com/

Quote:
Wear white shoes

~5o\~46;8 )4# 8 )
6*;#;483(88*3(5))*8>;
;#;4845*36*3 95*);(88

The white soldier with the bloody
hands will whisper into your ear.
Take the word he speaks
and give it to one of your friends under the bed.
Tell them the word. They will hold it
until you reach the Innocent.

So this is, for sure the map for Abbott's soul; he wore white shoes.
And there's more of this puzzle to solve.

eta: In the source code of http://asickmansdreamstorment.blogspot.com/ is
Quote:
51;8(;46)522#;;1(88t1(#986t#o#*15oo8*)#ot68()#12o##t:46oot(53 522#;;;#6*28;~88*1#(8^8(.

(edited to add the deciphered code ~ enaxor)

Quote:
wear white shoes

to the hanging mans tree
at the foot of the
bloodyhill.
get down on to the ground
and whisper the name of the white
soldier with the bloody hands
three times into the blood soaked earth.
the fallen will bring him to you.
put your ear to the earth and listen.

and in the source code is:
Quote:
under the trees biggest limb

eta: the first line may have an error. ~5o\~46;8 )4#8 )
deciphers to wal _.

eta2: The source code deciphers to (Thanks, Methos) :
Quote:
after this abbott freed from eidolon fallen soldiers of bloody hill drag abbott to inbetween forever.
