I know this is probably a stretch but I can't help but remember at one point our focus was on the Halo 3 Zune that came out. I noticed that you can enter a 25-character code on the Zune website to redeem points or something along those lines.

Not sure if that's all that important but hey it's worth a shot. Wink

If this needs one of the H3 zunes to work, I'll volenteer to use mine.

It shouldn't. That's to redeem codes for the Zune Marketplace.

The Zune marketplace uses your LiveID as well, so odds are it would do one of three things; Work and give you some content, work and add a gamerpic to your LiveID, give you a nasty lil' error message.

Just thought I would update everyone.

It appears that both of the codes unlock the same content: An IRIS gamerpic(YAY I have one now Smile )

However, the text beneath the gamerpic says "Follow the signs to victory"

You personally input both? Or what? How do you know you didn't use the same code I did?

Hopefully they'll do another round of this when the next server opens up. Let's just hope that it turns out like ILB did with the payphones, and have more chances the longer it goes on. Remember, the first round of payphones wasn't as large as by the time it ended.

Perhaps...
this is all "connected"

I am completely pulling this out of my ass, but maybe the reason theres Bungie and XBOX and Microsoft logos all over everything in this ARG is because the forerunners are somehow "using" these companies to do thier bidding without them being aware of it, like how in Close Encounter of the Third Kind, the aliens "make" Richard Dreyfus create the vision of the mountain out of his mashed potatoes, but it seems completely on accident. Thats how I'd like to think this is going, lol.

Hey-

I'm one of those lucky people who got to Server 5 in time but had the "birthday" issue. I got a key however. Silly that an ARG has minimum (not stated) requirements but anyway...anyone in my boat receive a package yet?

Wonderful theory! Whether it's true or not, I'm going with your idea just so I can suck myself back into this alternate reality Smile

I agree! Cool theory. Theres a book called "Manifold Time" where humans from the future manipulate children from the present to build a machine that will create another universe. We know how Bungie likes to take from SciFi novelists.

And "follow the signs to victory" I think reinforces what we already suspected: Follow the glyphs...

Yeah the follow the signs to victory was also kind of paraphrased from the emials sent out to people.

I think we should keep that in mind for future clues, they must be tied in some how to a symbol to be valid. that may help us sift through any possible false leads.

EDIT: Abgribudhist, I'm in the same boat man and nothing so far, Anyone else you had that problem get a package?

Package

Is it too much to hope that those of us that had the birthday issue get a cooler package later on down the road? Wink

the reason for the age requirement is that it is illegal for a company to give an underage person anything to do with a product or content that is deemed mature or MA. its not a "glitch"

which reminds me. for all you kids out there that are planning on standing in line for the midnight release of halo3, make sure you have a parent or gaurdian with you (or a friend of age) that can buy you a copy because it is policy and heavily inforced law in a lot of states not to sell MA content to kids.
