the reason for the age requirement is that it is illegal for a company to give an underage person anything to do with a product or content that is deemed mature or MA. its not a "glitch"
which reminds me. for all you kids out there that are planning on standing in line for the midnight release of halo3, make sure you have a parent or gaurdian with you (or a friend of age) that can buy you a copy because it is policy and heavily inforced law in a lot of states not to sell MA content to kids.
lol, I had my mom talk to the manager at EB about 6 hours before Halo 2 came out...
Edit: Does that 25 digit code work in XBL Marketplace as well as Zune marketplace?

Yeah I ended up buying a crackdown for a kid so he could play the beta. The manager at gamestop was like "sorry I can't" kid looked so bummed so I bought one for him.

birthday I guess what irked me about the birthday issue was that my birthday was set to my real one, and I'm 21. Still had to go through with the glitch and now unable to get a package
Oh well. Gratz to those who did get one though, I wish I could envy you to death...

What does it mean? Re:Packages and T-shirts:
Any idea what the design on the T-shirt is?
Re: xbox unlock:
Any idea as to what "follow the signs to victory" means?

Look for the signs, the keepers of the flame.
They will lead you to war, and perhaps, to victory.
Signs=glyphs. I suppose it's meant to reaffirm the message that the Glyphs will lead you to the end of the ARG.

In Halo 3, Master Chief will no longer have Cortana as a guide character. Perhaps Bungie will introduce some other guide contrivance such as forerunner symbols; breadcrumbs for M.C. to follow.

Spoiler (Rollover to View):
Achievements leak: Marathon Man: Reach all 25 control panels.

Huh. Reminds me of Marathon. While I doubt they're actually connecting the two series, it's kinda interesting they might be going back to their "roots", as you could say.

Using only grenades and melee weapons, and eating the breadcrumbs.

There have been alot of winks to Marathon in Halo. For multiplayer the Marathon logo was available for a personal emblem. In single player it was a class of cruiser which all the ships had the symbol on the "bow" of the space ship.

About the T-shirt All the Marathon talk is great, but can someone tell me what is on that T-shirt? I don't understand the design. I've seen the pics of the shirt and I can see that it is similar to images on the halo3.com site and server 5. But, what does the T-shirt design represent?

Something I hadn't considered is that they might represent constellations and such. I don't really know how to go about checking that, but I know that's what the glyph represented in the star chart. I also know that patterns like this were talked about in the books. Maybe that's what we are seeing?

"Follow the signs to victory"
While that is certainly an allusion to solving the ARG, I have been thinking it might also be a challenge to the people that received the packages.
Perhaps they have to simply win a game of Halo 2 MP? Then maybe they'd get a voice message or a PM or something. It just sounded a little too literal and action-oriented to simply mean "follow the clues and you'll solve the puzzle".

That'd be too easy. I think theres more to the shirt. Someone should scan it.
