Wow, thats an interesting find. It's possible but I'm not entirely convinced that its actually in game. While it certainly does sound like it could be interpreted as being flood (halo) containment, Its entirely possible that they're just talking about water (H2O). The things that lead me to believe that it is in fact in game are the glyph, the equipment they're selling, and the fact that it advertises hazardous environment exposure. Anybody have any idea what Echolocations are and how they could be used in the containment of actual floods (H2O)?

Also, how did they come across this discovery?

I am not a biologist, so I cannot say for certain, but Echolocation is what bats use to locate their prey, and I believe it is similar to Sonar. Its one of the things that makes me doubt this "Company's" existance OOG. For what purpose would Water Damage removers have Echolocation equipment?

Well I could see the GPS working for a flood containment company, its kind of a stretch though. Presumably if this company is in fact real it deals with the prevention of floods, the GPS could come in handy because it could show the possible flood patterns, but then again a regular map will do the same thing. Not to mention that flood prevention isn't usually done on the fly warranting a handheld GPS. It could maybe help them find locations after they have been flooded though...

As for the Echolocation, it might be used as a sonar device to find objects underwater, but then has anybody ever seen a portable "Echolocation" and if so why not just call it sonar? As for the Total Stations... I'm stumped

Also let's not forget the slide_ref070107.jpg says exactly "Flood Containment Control" right there. If the company was real, why would they have that pic in each of their ads? If the company's address is real (and therefore that photo), why does such a huge company (that no one's heard about) need to use multiple sites for local and personal ads? The thing that really cinches it is the presence of the glyph. Everything in game has been associated with the glyph, and everything out of game hasn't.

I can't wait 'til some of the arg vets wake up tomorrow and check this out.

EDIT: Spelling.. =(

I have no clue. Wikipedia has listed only organics as using Echolocation and the artifical version of it being Sonar. *Shrugs*

But beyond that, I have no clue.

Heh, this "company" has not one, but *seven* listings selling old computers on Yahoo Classifieds: http://classifieds.yahoo.com/result.html?cc=merchandise&ce_login=jpwelch74

The cities advertised in are the usual suspects: LA, Boston, Seattle, New York, Chicago, San Francisco, and... Ankeny, Iowa? Confused

Location: Alabama... sigh.

Echolocation... That could be a metaphor for the Halo pulses, since they are the main Flood containment control. It's also interesting to point out the use of "reclamation".
