Are spaces included in that password?

I've tried rob to no avail. Until we get a pair of words that have some significance we'll be just poking around in the dark.

We don't even know that FOUNDTHATASS is relevant, much less the password here.

I've tried both 2004ACE and 2007ACE. No joy. What was the license plate number on that car?

Not saying it is OOG but....

A couple of things.

  • Had you read the 1-18-08 thread you would have found this was tried without results yet. Please do so before posting, know it is long but if you had searched for "FTP" you would have found the info
  • FTP sites are commonly used to update websites so not irregular (but strange we can't acces 1-18-08.com but can slusho.jp
  • IP's are normally logged on bad authentication. If it happens a couple of times admin's dismiss it. Too oftern they might trace you. This assuming it is out of game.

So be careful!

Oh, I have been.
And I did read a bit of the 1-18 thread, don't think I didn't. But it just didn't say anything particularly interesting (impo) until Slusho!.

XD me too.
So, from what I'm gathering, and this is in review of what we discussed. The history of Slusho! is talking about the discovery of some secret thing outside Japan (possibly the Mariana Trench, deepest part of the Ocean) put it in something to make it better, and it got WAY too big for people to handle.... Am I getting this right so far?

EDIT: By "Talking" I mean hinting.

So...back to the topic at hand. Do you have any ideas about the content of the slusho site and why so many unnecessary exclamation marks? Or what might be the significance of the thought bubbles for the creatures who don't belong in the water? Or whether Satoshi is Ganu's cousin, or what may have really happened to Noriko, or who to locate Ganu, or why it would be that the website is presenting their company history as if presenting it to an 8 year old, or what the mystery ingredient might be? Or if the secret ingredient makes slushos blue in color? And WTFing sam hell Slusho! Zoom! is supposed to mean?

I think it's interesting that the links at the Slusho home page aren't the same as the links found on the sub-pages. Specifically, there's a link that apparently says "Distribution Opportunities" appears on a sub-page and not the main page (whereas "Happy Talk" shows up on the main page but not the sub-pages).

That seems out of place, but it's a dead page so I'm not sure what we do with it, if anything.

The entire site puzzles me because it doesn't seem to do what another site in its position would be doing.

Let's make a couple assumptions, based on what we know of real-world companies. First, companies put up web sites to drive business. They spend money to make more money. Second, those web sites have a focus in that money-making.

This site doesn't really do either. Poring over the site, all we really know is that Slusho is Japanese and that it's a frozen drink. We guess that it's like a Slurpee because of the name (a frozen slush as opposed to a shake-like drink). We don't know what flavors it has, where we can buy it, or where we can get a Slusho franchise if we wanted one.

What we do know is how Slusho started - kind of. Instead of even a happy story of a woman who had a dream and a boy who built a company, we get a fairy-tale.

This isn't a corporate web site aimed as selling a product. This is a fairy-tale aimed at telling a story. That's just weird.

The problem is, I don't know where else we look for clues to help us put the story and the incongruous elements of the web site in any sort of context. There's no "rosetta stone" to help us move from the language we know to the language of the site. Maybe that's what we're looking for hee.

It reminds me of what Willy Wonka's website would be like. Childish. What could that mean? It just seems significant somehow.
