If there's one thing I learned from being a devoted Lost fan is that they love to sneak anagrams in...

There's a great online tool for that here:

http://wordsmith.org/anagram/

I've tried "Can't Drink Just Six" and one word I like out of that is TRUST.
I don't have time to go through *all* the options that it spits out, but maybe someone out there does?

Here is some of the info- It gives you the option to run a reverse IP-However, it looks like you need to sign up to get the full list of other sites coming from that IP

Enter an IP address or domain name into the form below and click "Look Up" to get a segment of the full result set.

There are 1758191 domains hosted on this IP address.
Here are a few of them:

Here is the link to the whois site

We've pulled that information before...part of the very good notion that Satoshi is Ganu's cousin.

I'm guessing that all the other sites are there because of Network Solutions, which registered all of them. I'd say a dead-end.

Everyone. It is considered the start of the weekend if you are in college.

If I could suggest, concentrate on the squid thingie, since it's the most obvious connection to the Slusho story. I'd be quite interested to see what's been cached. But do so as unobtrusively as possible, so you don't get into trouble.

I'd say that Squid has absolutely nothing to do with the arg at all. Last time I used Squid was in the late 90s so it's pretty well established. It's just the common or garden web proxy daemon (server) for Unix/Apache web hosts and comes with most Linux and BSD distributions. It has a variety of uses, most notably in easing server load and bandwidth when you get hundreds of users hammering a site and trying to decompile its Flash. Smile Unless you're invited to I don't think that hacking the site would actually gain you anything but a criminal record.

Hey i've been following both the Ethan Haas and Cloverfield stories since the beginning, and i just registered.

I would like to posit that maybe people are missing the forest for the trees with this Slusho "history" page. I believe it basically tells us in advance the plot of the movie, to a degree.

It appears that, if we interpret it one way...
This Japanese woman leaves to go to sea, i'd wager she's some kind of scientist herself, and she's looking for some compound or substance. Somehow she dies as a result, or maybe not (see theory two below), and her son later finds this substance and takes it back to land. Perhaps New York, for some reason. As a result he discovers it must be kept at extreme pressures and cold temperature to keep it under control. Somehow this leads to the events in the trailer, perhaps it has mutagenic qualities. I'm thinking something like the mutagen ooze from TMNT here.

Or, read another way...
The Japanese woman leavs to go to sea to find some compound or substance. Somehow her exposure to it causes her to die or become some kind of monster. Later her son either finds her, or the substance, and either is exposed himself and becomes the huge alive roaring thing in the trailer or his mom, who had to be kept dormant with high pressure and extreme temperatures, gets loose. One way or another someone becomes the giant roaring alive thjng.

Thats just my two cents about it.

Dagoth connection:

Some name analysis:

I totally agree with the Dagoth thing.

If they're going with a Lovecraft-inspired theme, and I think they are, then it's probably not one single person who gets turned into a monster. The monster is most likely a god who has come to reap the Earth. And anyone who has been drinking their Slusho is essentially compromised and suspect, as seen in that creepy as hell 12:01 picture.

Yeah I dunno people seem to love to connect it to H.P. Lovecraft. In some respects it's easy because it deals with a kind of end of times type theme. This is also why people like to connect it to the book of Revelations in the bible. I'm not counting out that kind of a theme, but I haven't seen any hard connection other than a suggested relation in themes.

I dont think they're going with Cthulhu to be honest.

Indeed, if my suspicions are right and the Slusho story depicts, in a farcical tone, the events of the film's backstory then i believe the plot may be closer to the old UK Kaiju film "Gorgo". Gorgo was created to cash in on the giant monster craze of the Godzilla era--in it, a scientist discovers a previously unheard of species of enormous sea creature (actually it looked something like a humanoid komodo dragon to be honest) and when he brings it back to land, it's mother, which is many times bigger, attacks and destroys an entire city to get her young'un back.

Yeah, I don't really think that it's going to be any kind of direct translation of the Mythos. Probably just playing with the basic ideas and tone. But those themes and tone can give us hints as to what kind of horrible shit is going to go down in this movie.

That doesn't sound like the Slusho history even in the slightest.

We're talking about a story of family obsession and tragedy, weird gigantic sea creatures (gods) that command people to do stuff, and humans transforming into aquatic life. That has Lovecraft written all over it. And it'd make more for a way more interesting movie than a straight run from the monster movie. I mean, if it's just one big monster the movie is going to be pretty short. It would involve getting the hell out of town and that's it.

Just FTR, the p12:01 pic, he's not drinking a slusho regardless. It's an alcoholic beverage, given the theme of the party.

Now regarding the way Slusho seems to be aimed at kids....at 5am this morning I made a wiseass crack about getting my 8 yo to check it out. I decided to do that just now...I told him to come see, and tell me what he thinks about this site.

He camed over, put the headphones on as I was pulling up the site. Soon as it loaded, he kinda giggled and sais "that's funny." He paused a few moments listening to the music, kinda frowned and yanked the headphones off. I asked what's up. He said nothing, just didn't want to hear it it was kinda "hurting his ears" which is his trademark way of politely saying he's irritated. Next, he quickly said "that's neat!" but the tone was familiar - I do websites and his tone suggested he thought it was something *I* made and was sharing. I said no, it's not mine.

THEN the honesty began to flow ;-p

He looked at it and I asked if he knew what it was. He was with me for Transformers and is aware of how obsssed I got with the slusho/1-18 thing so he recognized the cup correctly. I said to pretend he just saw it really and he's checking it out. He said ok and took over the mouse.

The time is 4:43pm

He moved the mouse over each bubble first, reading the things that popped up. Then he kinda rapidly went back and forth on the end two, flavors and happy talk, and then asked if he could click them. I said sure. He went thru them again, right to left, got the two updates, then clicked on history. And no sooner did the history page come up, he instantly clicked the fish with arrow sign and went to page 4....looked at it a second, and the cursor headed for the cup at the top left back to the main page - he didn't even remotely read that shit. Razz

The next place he went was downloads and when the images came up he lit up just a touch and asked "cool, what are those?" I said they were images for the desktop. He went 100% indifferent and goes "oh" and back to the cup to main page. He nodded and goes "that's cool."

4:43 still on the clock.

That helped clear up for me the issue of this site being marketed at children but kids aren't interested in the history - I did make the educated guess, this above was just a little validation. SO why would slusho company create a site that is apparently aimed at children, and fail completely to make it kid friendly, provide nothing that was kid appealing? His only comment on the graphics was awhile ago when I first learned the slusho site existed, he looked at it a few seconds, laughed, and said that's funny. I asked what...he said those pictures.

More and more I think the real slusho story is veiled beneath the fairy tale in the History and there is more to the exclamation marks that meets the eye.

Also, I had one of those needle across the record moments like a few others did, when someone posted the Japanese translation of FLAVORS and it's distribution opportunities.

WTF?

Site clearly designed for 6yo kids has link to distribution opportunities?

I don't think so....something's not right with Slusho!

BUT I WANT A TSHIRT!

PROPOSAL: Either using the auto reply or the other email provided for Satoshi, I say we ALL band together and mass email Satoshi requesting slusho tshirts (for real)....we saw a guy wearing one and just have to have one, etc. Maybe we can get a tshrit and all go in the theaters on 1-18 wearing them and freaking people out....

If they made them available outside wardrobe, I *would* buy one.

GAH NU UHHH....

The SLUSHO! story is of magic and triumph!

Razz

I agree with 18 - the trail is in the history - why else put it on the site? They could've made that one "updating" and gone with distribution ops, or happy talk, whatever the hell that is....they fed us this story fulla holes for a reason...the clues are in it.

So let's retell the history in grown up terms....and see if that yields something to work with.

(while still remembering the excessive emphasis on some words/phrases isn't arbitrary....)
