Also, that's not a bad Idea- I'm gonna get my little sisters to look at it.

They're Five, Eight, and ten, so i'll see what they say.

I'll admit to multiple emails to Satoshi too. Tinag you said before the answers are likely in plain sight. I agree. There's something in the history story that we are missing. I'll go read it again.

oh and email Satoshi for a Slusho T!

Sorry for double posting, but I haven't made an account yet, ergo, i can't edit.

The five year old looked at the site and danced a bit to the song, but then quickly got annoyed by it. She pushed the bubbles, and when she got to the history page, took a sharp intake of breath at the words and had a concerned impression (She isn't the best reader yet). She ran her mouse over the donkey and the fish, and I asked her what she thought it meant. she told me, matter-of-factly,

"The fish is hungry and the donkey is cold."

When she saw the downloads page, she also went 'oo, what's that?' and i said 'desktop wallpapers and icons for instant messaging.' and she goes 'Oh.' and then she left.

Later, she came back and asked me if the site was selling something. I said yes, and she said "I'd buy it!"

The eight year old messed with the page for a bit, looked at the history, and frowned at all the animals. she ran the mouse over them, and said that the fish thought it shouldn't have eaten cheese and the donkey got burnt, and was thinking about how great it would have been if he had used an oven mitt.

She gave a half-hearted attempt at skimming the history, then at the end went "Six? They look tasty, but not THAT tasty. And also, why isn't there any storefinders? like when you were looking for a target?" And i said i didn't know, and she said "It seems kinda brainwashy to me." Got bored, and left.

Nothing new with the ten year old, except that she noticed something i did not. Music doesn't play on the download page.

Fish is hungry and the donkey is cold.

I'm gonna be mad as hell if it's that easy. If not shamed and embarrassed. But thanks for sharing that. Since it's a fictional drink to begin with, I won't go so far as to say they oughtta fire their marketing people, but in the arg reality it's just a little screwy to make it so obviously childlike when kids can take it or leave it....it's for the grown ups, not the kids....so that leads me to suspect the kiddie images they chose to feed us have some relevance.

Then again, Jay & Silent Bob are fiction and they got the moose thing.

Eh...

Anyway

if you have not seen this joint venture page here, check it out - it's new, one of our own put it up in attempt to get organized...

http://wellmissyourob.wordpress.com

But on the slusho page he set up he did provide the alternate email for Satoshi.

sk7087 [at] gmail [dot] com

think the 7087 is anything?

that isn't immediately tied to auto reply. He said he put in an email but as of the post didn't get a reply yet....I'll try this one and see - asking about the tshirts.

I'm almost positive that slusho.jp will be selling shirts before the movie comes out. I mean, it's a no brainier.

Oh wow. I completely missed that.

That makes two ways the download page is noticeably different from all the others.

WAIT! WAIT!

When did the Downloads page change??

A couple days ago, when I was doing a rather long writeup of the Slusho page, I went over each of them in detail. I noticed that the Downloads page was the only one where there was no movement - just the two kids and their kites framing the downloads.

Now the kids move, there are a flock of waterfowl in "v" formation flying from left to right, and the yellow duck from the front page in a hot-air balloon on the right side.

All that stuff is brand-spanking new.

Haha, so I thought, "maybe because the site is Japanese, they won't respond directly to English emails... or something." Straws, right?

So I wrote the following email:

Quote:

お早う、
お邪魔しますけど、Slusho のティーシャツは全て売りきってしまいましたか?

-トラ

It was supposed to say
Quote:

Mornin,
I'm sorry to bother you, but are you sold out of your Slusho shirts?

-Tora

Immediately afterwards, two things happened:
1. I received the exact same response email everyone else did (booooo)
2. I realized that the phrase "お邪魔します" (Sorry to bother you) is a greeting only used when entering someone's house.

So, yeah, time for me to go back to lurking again. Laughing

Oh you're right.

NOW WAIT AGAIN

Look at the subtle similarities and what I keep harping on about the clues being in plain sight but the subtle shit - the "incidentals"....it's happening on BOTH sites. I posted elsewhere, and some others did too, about noticing someone had slipped in to 1-18 and changed it up so we couldn't make copies, or get the menu....and SINCE that change, the pictures are roating at increased speeds - not by much but they are faster than before....and last night I personally witnessed what I read 2 other people posting they'd witnessed, that after having moved the pics around then letting the page sit for awhile, (minimized ?) when it's maxed again, one or the other picture is pulsating visibly so. Some keep insisting it's a flash physics glitch but it's not....it's pulsating, flickering.

I noticed the flock of birds (pun: seagulls? heh) flying in on the downloads page and remembered what you wrote, but I was actively wondering if maybe these color changes might be a subtle clue like one of those hex puzzles - I saw the birds and distinctly had that twitch that something isn't right, but I couldn't definitively say I hadn't seem them the other 50 times I pulled the site up....so I refrained from mentioning it. Now that you point to it, I am adding mine to the mix.

So the graphics are screwy on BOTH sites, they're images that do curious things...albeit different things but why move photos on 1-18 or make copies that seem irrelevant to do? Why would, on the slusho site, a fish be thinking about swiss cheese and a donkey or horse one be thinking about an oven mitt....and why make the graphics so childlike, tell a story in fairytale form and then not be at all appealing to kids beyond the COLORFUL graphics?

Also, I sent an email to Satoshi at the alternate email:

Hi

Is there any possibility of odering a slusho tshirt? I and a few others would really like to obtain one if they are available. If they are not currently available, are there any plans in the future to make them available (in the US)?

Also, I'm wondering, are you the same Satoshi listed on the Slusho.jp site for the feedback (email) link? If so, would you happen to be Ganu's cousin? We're finding the site intriguing and curious...hope the updates will be soon!

Thank you for your time

Tina G

We shall see if anything comes of it.

*Sips on a Slusho, green ooze slush.* Mmm, good marketing! Everytime I drink one my skin turns green! Totally normal right?

Why are people assuming that the Slusho website is aimed at kids, the Japanese are quite frankly bonkers, but they also have a freedom that enables people of all ages to be able to enjoy things that in the west people look down upon as being childish and irrelevant.

I don't think it's necessarily (just) for kids either. It's just cute and Japanese and a little weird.

Also, just thought I throw this out there-

I think with the birds, they're nudging us again. Showing us that we have got it, we just need to go more in depth with it.

There are six birds on each side of the V.
