Could someone post a screenshot of the duck basket from the Downloads page. It's a significant clue, seeing as it is some of the new content that was added yesterday. The patterns on it indicate a potential code to me.

It's on page 104 of the 1-18-08 long thread.

So I'm guessing no one's even remotely interested about my The Blob theory?

Haha, I thought that once we started talking about 'keeping something frozen' or safe or etc, but I don't remember the Blob actually throwing things around or blowing up buildings. I thought it just simply fell on organic things and consumed them.

duck balloon color codes

It occurred to me that the duck balloon itself might hold something useful. Perhaps the color codes or whatever they are called. The color names listed here are just whatever descriptive name I came up with, not an official name for the code or anything like that.

from L t R.

Yellow: #FFFF00
Orange: #FFBF00
Orange-Red: #FF3F00
Red: #FF0000
Violet: #FF26FF
Purple: #BF00FF
Blue: #3F00FF
Turquoise: #00B5CC
Aquamarine: #8AFFFF
Dark Green: #00BF00
Lime Green: #B3FB00

Now, first obvious observation. Each of those codes has six digits/letters.

Second, there are 11 of them, just like the ducks. However, between each color there is a thin line of maybe just a pixel or two of an intermediate color. Might not be useful, though it does say "ZOOM!" I will check and see what those color codes are later today when I get some free time.

Final thought here, the symbols on the Duck basket might not be less than greater than. Maybe they are open and close html tags?

I just blew the duck basket way up in Photoshop and there's nothing significant there, just texturing to make it look like a balloon basket. Unless someone else is able to see something or wants to start counting pixels, I'm saying the duck's a dead end.

arrrggggggggggggggg

Where's that emoticon for blowing smoke out your ears? Cursing Bang Head Cursing Pony?!

Ok now that I got that out of my system....

Noticed for the first time that the History page is also different from the others in that the sun rays are curving to the left, as opposed to the other pages where they're straight out.

Seakelp/weed - 4 2 2

Okay going with the recent suggestion about the ingredients, we got the mystery ingredient that can only be found at the *bottom* of the sea, and in the coldest part.

Q: what is the coldest sea we know of? Seems to me it would be in the arctic but I do not know. Just as a potential nod connection, where again did Prof. Witwicky find and set loose Megatron? Cause it was pre t t y damn frigid there. Granted the story didn't say it was frozen, just "near frozen"....and under extreme pressure.

And it just now occurred to me a possible clue - of if nothing else, useful if the swiss/donkey connections work out.

The kids are wearing snorkels - suggestive of scuba. As it happens I've been OW trained so when this jumped out at me in regard to the mystery ingredient being found:

1. at the bottom of the sea
2. under extreme pressure to preserve its freshness
3. extreme cold

I couldn't help consider the max depth limit for deep diving is about 130ft. max, or between 100-130 but no further than that without bad news. It also requires special equipment. What may be useful is the depth limit - whatever it is probably isn't found deeper than that if you can get to it via diving - hence the snorkel.

It's screwy like donkey mittens, a "what's wrong with this pic" - they are under water so the snorkel won't do them any good except at the surface, so it either suggests diving gear or it's one of those nonsensical pics with no intent at all, which may be like the others.

And for the record, they use unlike anything in this world a time or two, so it could have originated from space and landed in the sea, or at least not native to the sea.

yeah...we got that covered.

And the gist of the point is that it's a rather obvious incongruency to the cartoons....and given the presentation of the history story, it's suggestive that the cartoon incongruencies are relevant.

They could've just put in dive gear and an actual seahorse.
They put in snorkels and an actual horse, or worse a donkey (and I forgot where the donkey thing came from).
They put a duck that can fly in a hot air balloon
They make the horse think of a blue oven mit
They make a fish think of swiss cheese

And they tell a story about a girl drinking a mixture that turns her into a giant whale.

So if it's so obvious, what's your conclusion?

tinag222 says: what is the coldest sea we know of? Seems to me it would be in the arctic but I do not know.

The world's coldest sea is in Antarctica: <a>Lake Vostok. </a>

Not sure why this link didn't work. http://www.gsfc.nasa.gov/scienceques2001/20010921.html

Important quote from the link: Discovered just 5 years ago, it's one of the largest lakes in the world - its exact size is still not known. Cut off from the rest of Earth for at least a million years, Lake Vostok may harbor previously unknown species of microbes, having the ability to withstand conditions at the edge of survivability.

Not sure if this is useful. But still interesting.

One last thing: I think we are done for now until there's another reveal. Considering the filming permits said they were for a Slusho! commercial, I expect to see a Slusho! commercial on TV soon.

I don't think they literally meant that they were filming a commercial when it said that on the permits.
Considering they have the movie titled as "Slusho!" when we know that's just a nickname, it was either done as a total throw-off to detract attention, or it meant commercial in the literal sense:
"Of or pertaining to a money-making endeavor that involves a corporation or other formalized group of workers and management working toward the production of goods or services to participate in an economy."

It would be cool, but I highly doubt we're going to see a Slusho! commercial

I wish I could find the pics of the permit again. I tried searching the site but I can't track it down.

I know it might be a long shot, but it's not unheard of. Remember Sublymonal?

I'm looking for patterns here, but I'm not seeing anything terribly evident.

A bit later I'll edit to put what I see as far as Addidtive and Subtractive Primary Colors.

I definitely agree that there is nothing, absolutely nothing, left to examine or analyze. It's time to wait for the next piece of the viral campaign.

This definitely doesn't feel like an ARG right now. But it is highly effective advertising, is it not?

I searched the forum for this but couldn't find any thing.

Has anyone looked at:

http://webmail.slusho.jp/

assuming the email is satoshiSPLATslusho.jp then we just need the password.

I tried a few things but I am stuck...I guess this is similar to the ftp.slusho.jp dead end (and maybe the same password for both ftp and webmail) but someone may come up with something.

any thoughts?
