It's the Electronic Entertainment Expo, being held in Santa Monica, with the main exhibition going on at Barker Hangar, part of the SMAirport (formerly Clover Field). It ends today (Friday, July 13 '07)

There's been a bunch of things to point out there, but the odd thing about it (to me) is that this year marks a change in the conference - instead of an enormous event where the big game manufacturers dropped millions of dollars and made the biggest glitziest booths they could muster, the show has been scaled back to attempt to make it more industry-and-media-only, with a lot more of the presentations happening by appointment or by invitation...so the chance of a casual ARGer stopping by to scope the place for clues is reduced.

One possible angle on it, which would allow more than just locals to participate, might be to take a close look at trailers for new games being announced this week from companies ultimately owned by Viacom, which would include licensed titles, like Star Trek (JJA connection, and owned by paramount), or maybe a game like Rock Band(, which is being developed by Harmonix, which is owned by MTV, which is owned by Viacom). Ordinarily I don't think I'd suspect something like that, but I gather from other parts of these threads that last time JJA was involved in one of these they used ads for other products in the game (Sprite in Lost?)

Tried scanning that area with Google Earth. No luck so far. The Bad Robot offices are somewhere around there, aren't they? Maybe they put some sign on their roof while Google were taking pictures in that area...

Does anyone know the exact address for Bad Robot in SM?

Just to cross-post with the trailhead thread, I made a crude sketch of the Yoshida - Kagashima genealogy. It (supposedly) proves that Noriko must have had a sister so that Noriko's son Ganu would have a cousin named Satoshi KAGASHIMA (assuming that Satoshi IS in fact Ganu's cousin, as we all assumed after reading the history page). (NOTE: I know it looks like something a 4 year old would draw, but I'm just illustrating a point).

People were asking about Morse code and while I don't know that without going to look it up, the exclamations have bugged me to death and it's pretty glaring that pages 3 and 4 use excessive exclamation marks while pages 1 and 2 just stick with one.

Initially it just seemed to me that was emphasizing either the words or the statements and differentiating them, as relevant clues to something to be looking at but when people started up about the cups and MC, it might have some relevance there. I do not know. On the first page I put the whole statements...and just read the story based only on the emphasized stuff which essentially cuts out the filler and gets the meat on the table.

Still have no clue how to pick a trail out of that but eventually a light bulb will flip on for somebody and move it along.

Is there an online database for copyrights? The motto "You Can't Drink Just Six" is copyrighted, would it be possible if we find the copyright owner, it would have ARG info and not Real Life info?
