Everyone seems convinced that it is a donkey, but to me it looks like a horse. A horse in the sea; a seahorse.

Okay...that's really strange.

My testing method, which is pretty slow and deliberate showed the alternating pattern I mentioned earlier. It's showing the same pattern now (with the same odd deletion on the "Flavors" bubble).

pages ago it was said that in the Flash code, the imagine for it is listed as "donkey"
hence why we are now calling it a donkey. We had the same "sea horse" thought before, too.

Actually it's just the bottom of the letters in "CUSTOMER FEEDBACK" wrapped around from the bottom to the top of what I presume is one image/element that encompasses the English and Japanese. It looks like an artifact of the zoom. Once I see it, I can zoom in or out to make it disappear.

Donkey vs. Horsey

I think horsey is cuter than donkey...plus my fiancee has two horses...this thing has a short mane = donkey...pointy ears however...horsey. And the tail...horsey...

But the icons appear according to when you mouse over. The pattern as yet I've tried, is to get nothing but the whale (the fish) to appear, the smallest whale right? Er...I don't know anymore...I figured out the methodology of the button rollovers, but as to toggling for interactivity in a 'game' sense...I don't see what's going on yet...

Hmmm...

okay somehow i missed that I could have sworn i read the entire thread. anyway, is there anything in the code to cause the donkey to stop cycling through while the other animals keep swimming? cause my donkey just dissapeared.

This is where we're headed...those creepy Japanese toons will get to ya before it's over with...you watch.

My eye is doing that now, thanks.

EDIT: PS...I still say it's a horse. Somebody remind me pretty please where the hell donkey came from? I mean a horse at the bottom of the sea is a seahorse if we're being logical.

But since horses or donkeys are thinking of oven mits and fishes of cheese....I see no logic happenin.

From what I remember reading, the donkey always only cycles through once, while the others continue cycling.
I don't think anyone confirmed whether this was useless or an insightful clue.

ed again: sorry about the sickening imagesocket hosting

Ok, I don't much like to post on others ideas, but if you look very closely at that pic you can see that those 'gray' marks are just a mirror image of the bottom of every english letter underneath it.

The whole ZOOM thing hs got me going.

Someone zoom into SLUSHO! written in what seems to be pencil in history. Fill your screen with it and see if anything pops up, my eyes hurt.

On to the real reason for the post:

Since someone mentioned the code of letters and word placement (other than the fact tht 4 full cups may represent the 4 horsemen, hehe), I looked at another angle of coding. Slusho! has a ton of exclamation points that could be misplaced or intentionally misplaced as someone mentioned earlier.

What can be done with these words, they are all followed with exclamation points, and this would be an old, non-inventive code indeed, if there's anythiing to it.

In History you will find in order of appearace:

Slusho (may be irrelevant)
Triumph
Satisfied
Whale
Again
Ganu
Science
Else (!!!)3
All (!!!)3
Find
Earth
Freshness (!!)2
Slusho*
Life (!!!!!!)6
Slusho*
Slusho*
Six (!!!)3

Play with the numbers, letters on that one for a bit.

Question

Did you slusho zoom on the actual images provided in the download section? I did on the cup so far just now and noticed very very faint blue streak lines from behind the cup.

Apparently zooming in on slusho "six" times and more than 6 times isn't accomplishing shit. So eh.....

Button patterns emerging....

Okay From Right to Left the buttons on the first page...

The behavior seems to be =

One pass = animation of an animal, with a thought bubble
Wait about a second after thought bubble appears
Second pass = animation of a second animal, with a thought bubble

Starts at off + one pass = Animal One + one pass = Animal Two + one pass = Animal One (If each pass is one second apart)

If you wait three seconds the buttons reset.

There are:

A horsey/donkey
A Whale/fish
A Frog
A Ducky

Pass One / Pass Two

Customer Feedback: Horse / Whale

Store: Whale / Frog

Downloads: Frog / Duck

History: Horse / Duck

Happy Talk: Horse / Whale

Edit: Dang...okay...better explanation...
Flavors: Okay, here's where the animation behaves a certain way because one is blank. No matter what, if a whale was on the screen prior to scrolling over as a result of being the second of the pair, the Flavors tab will be blank no matter how long you wait. It will not play a whale twice in a row if the last whale on the screen was the second of a pair. It will be a whale if you jump from the first swipe to it, but not the second swipe (A good example of this is the Customer Feedback pair of Horse/Whale, when you bring up the Whale and go to the Flavor Button, it will come up blank....However if you are going from the first pass Whale under Store to Flavors...It will come up as a whale...

Right vs. Left vs. First/Second Pass
CF: Right / Left
St: Left / Left
Dwn: Right / Left
Hist: Left / Left
HT: Right / Left
Flv: Left / BLANK

God...I'm pretty sure i'm onto [i]something
...but what?

So far as I can tell, only the fish pops up when you mouseover the "Flavors" bubble. It's either the fish or nothing at all.

To speculate a connection, the thing Noriko is known for (according to the History) is finding new flavors for her drink concoctions. It was her quest to find a new flavor that led her to the Secret Ingredient.

Though, a thought. The History says that her yearly goal was to make a new flavor "so unique to anything else". That seems strange because it's practically impossible. Every drink company that comes out with a new flavor calls it new, but they can hardly call it unique because every drink tastes like something you've tasted before, even if it's just a little. I mean, Wild Cherry Pepsi tastes like Cherry Coke to some extent. It's different enough that they can say it tastes better (else why buy one brand over another, if they all taste the same), but unique?

No way.

Back to the History. Ganu completes his Mother's quest by finding the Secret Ingredient which is specifically described as "unique to anything else".

What could be reasonably described as "unique to anything else" when you really think about it?

Also, the history says that Ganu discovered a ""deep sea ingredient", which rings strange to me. First, Ganu was an ocean scientist. It stands to reason that anything he discovered would be "deep sea". Ocean scientists don't much work in the shallows. That's emphasize later when he has to keep the ingredient as he found it - under great pressure and very cold. But it's still strange wording.

It's also strange that it would be called an "ingredient". I mean, if you were a scientist and you discovered a new animal, would you call it an "ingredient", even if you later decided to use it as one?

It's also interesting how the effects of Slusho on us are described. Some folks are taking to saying that Ganu turned into some sort of sea monster or are speculating that people will turn into beasts because of the Slusho. But that's not what the History actually says.

Noriko was called the "Smallest Whale" not because of her size, but because she always drank "endless amounts of beverages" at meals. Later, we find that if everyone who drinks Slusho will become "a small whale like Noriko". It also says that Slusho drinkers "want to drink huge amounts of Slusho" as a result of becoming like Noriko. It seems likely that Susho is actually addictive and gets the user hooked the first time it's ingested.

So, by my work here (which I'll admit may well have holes in it), Slusho is made from an entirely unique substance found at great depths in the deep ocean, which appears right away to be a drink ingredient, and which causes strong addiction the first time it's tried.

Oh yeah.....I've been bugged by the exclamations for days now. On page 1 and 2 they use them normally - just one to emphasize. It's pages 3 and 4 they begin to use them excessively, but back and forth. Either the words alone or the full statements are bing pointed to. The one that just gets my eye twitching like in that video up there is

Slusho came to life followed by a whopping 6 exclamations.

It's telling us this went awry somewhere.

What about a combination of sorts? There is a pattern here....like duck, duck goose. I'm sure that was insanely helpful huh. Sorry. But I did notice horse/fish...fish/frog ... frog/whale... nothing/nothing

H F F F F W W D, ETC.

Which reminds me

Tkar

I'm just disappointed in ya actually. That roll you went on, and that others are on....and not a one of ya went with the obvious whale story of Jonah.

Sheeesh, yall are slippin Wink

Jimmie
EDIT: I'm with ya on the addictive quality - that's what I've been looking at and not so much the giant mutant whale (tho it's better than the other options and is at least logical to the story)....besides, aside from the mutation potential of the story, they never actually suggest either one of them actually mutated into anything. The whole slogan of can't drink just six is clearly suggesting some addictive nature here of this mixed drink.

Ganu is human ocean scientist and his mom is MIA.
Father has a farm.
Cousin is predominantly running Slusho.

Also notice that when they have described Slusho on the feedback page they suggest Slusho Happy. How is Slusho happy?

Or is that less of a personification and more like "shitfaced" - being slap happy sort of thing.... are you slusho happy? (i.e. all jacked up on the crazy juice? heh)

OMG Slusho is a giant mutant bartender chick who failed the Coyote Ugly tryouts!

So maybe we look for highly addictive substances at the bottom of the sea? In light of that, we all go to comicon and take Abrams hostage until he gives us a good bone to work with.

Also whacked is the line about the children opening their fun.

That's never made sense to me. How does one go about opening their fun?
