so far I got:

oven mitt
oven glove
glove
pot holder (not sure if this qualifies, isn't the label "pot holder" usually used for that square thing that comes with a matching oven mitt?)

cheese
swiss cheese
slice of cheese
piece of cheese

anyone care to add to this list?

perhaps I'm wrong, maybe, we need to be asking the questions:
why the hell is a donkey under water? and why does he think of oven mitts?

why is a fish thinking of cheese?

(i know the Japanese eat a lot of fish, do they ever eat it with cheese? perhaps a reference to some type of sushi dish?)

why does the donkey pass only once, yet the fish passes several times before the donkey leaves the screen?

glove:

gauntlet

cheese:

wedge

I got nothing, but the free association can be fun.

The slusho site has absolutely brought the numbers 163 to the forefront for me and ANYONE hunting links to this movie.

Look at the following carefully.

Interesting. I cant believe that slipped past me lol. THere IS a reason for this, my gut tells me.

Anybody more savvy then me want to try to to play with the I.P address?

Slusho.jp is listed as 68.178.254.202

Maybe try 163 at the end instead? I can't get it to work, but I don't know enough about this stuff.

There IS a reason that shot was chosen to INCLUDE 163 in such clarity. And earlier someone mentioned that happy talk is what reporters do to joke around or gloss over more important things, so maybe the REAL news is 163?

68.178.254.163 doesn't respond to anything I've prodded it with (http, telnet, icmp).

I think most of us are going about this all wrong.

We're assuming that this is in a real world scenario (albeit far fetched, with a monster destroying New York and all). Based on that, we probably need to be looking for a real world solution.

So, based on that, I have reason to believe that the next step is one of the following:

- Discovering the equivalent of "Slusho Labs". Perhaps a URL to the laboratory or science facility Ganu created for his experimentation. Also could be some sort of foundation.

- A Noriko Yoshida memorial site.

- A Slusho distributor.

- A fake news site of some sort, or some sort of fake news story, describing the creature's history. I'm going to assume this thing's going to have a back story; a fire breathing, 80 story high creature doesn't just spring up in New York harbor unannounced (East River, maybe...).

What is "the smallest whale" in japanese?
Also, has anyone tried downloading the wallpapers and searching them for hidden stuff?

I tried downloading the wallpapers and couldn't find anything. I do think it's significant, though, that in the download instructions for everything in the media section, the last instruction is the eponymous "Slusho! Zoom!"

This was one of those "holy shit!" moments until I started poking through and realized it's probably OOG.

Some of the pictures are still priceless, though Wink

footer

For the flash gurus:

The footer of the main.swf is dissapearing along with the music control when I hit Rewind in IE right click menu. Is that a sepparate flash? Maybe we can find other unlinked flash files (with different glass configuration) starting from this one's name .....

Chemistry

So somebody is selling meteorite samples on ebay classified as SLUSHO and as SLUSHO ii. Totally OOG (since they sold one earlier classified as CLOVERFIELD).

But it got me thinking... In Chemistry class, we'd play a game to remember the periodic table. We'd spell out foods and such with elements. What if SLUSHO is a compound of some sort? It can only be one thing:

SLuSHO

Sulfur, Lutetium, Sulfur, Hydrogen and Oxygen. Hasn't revealed much so far, but it may be worth investigating.

That's specifically what I was looking for, but there's only so far you can zoom in on a raster image before you're just looking at a bunch of pixels. no microprint that I can find in the downloads section. That doesn't rule out the actual .swf parts of the site.

Anyone know if there are any elements in the code that are unaccounted for on the screen?

Other than Sulfuric Acid water, have no idea what lutetium is...

I can't now because I'm actually at work, but can anyone do a magic wand selection with a tolerance of zero?

I tried that on the Flash files, but JPEG compression did a hell of anumber on them and there are artifacts pretty much everywhere.
