Uh what? I didn't think I had the "slam dunk" guess. I analyzed the slusho motto. Big deal, maybe I'm wrong, who cares. Just offering up another point of view. Just for your information, I don't go to internet forums and post for the first time to raise my e-confidence. Rolling Eyes

I understand you're probably a pro at this, and that this has gone off in a lot of directions but my speculation wasn't that strange.

To tell you the truth, I was expecting noone to respond, or someone to poke fun at it. But you took my prediction and compared it to something ridiculous. Good luck being constructive.

donkey = ganu?

Potential thought: On the history page, we see a fish swim by, thinking of cheese, followed closely by a donkey, thinking about an oven mitt. Could the fish be supposed to represent Noriko, the 'littlest whale', searching for new flavors (cheese slusho would be pretty funky)? Then Ganu, the donkey (maybe he's kind of stupid\stuborn\etc?) comes after her, and he has no idea what's going on, he's thinking about oven mitts, and is never seen again after he exits screen (symbolising his brief tests with flavors?).

The donkey is really the only massively out of place object on the entire site. The duck in the balloon was unlikely, but IIRC they did send ducks up in hot air balloons to test their safety. And the thought bubbles are merely what the characters are thinking, and so they don't have any real physical presence (and fish might dream of cheese, who knows?) So as the only distinctly out of place thing, I think the donkey is a lot more important or symbolic than we have given him credit for being. Do donkeys have any sort of traditional symbolism attatched to them? Esp. in Japanese culture? Or have I stretched way too far trying to defend the normalness of the site?

he was just tryin to show you that those kind of abstract ideas when there is no real hardcore evidence is just a waste of time, and space considering its already a 200+ thread, just chill and wait for somethin new

I'm fine with what the user "one" posted about what I said. I didn't expect anyone to agree with me. But tinag222 WAS a total ass hat about it.

on teh home page

when the fish pops up his thought is "fresh for you!" he is on the right side of the page,
when the donkey pops up he is on the left side, he thinks "Slusho! Zoom!"

on the history page, the donkey is slower than the fish, so he ends up to the left of the fish (on the fish's first pass), and thinks of the mitt, the fish is to the right, and thinks of the cheese

but the girl thinks of fresh, and the boy thinks of zoom, which is a mirror image or oppsite of the home page, now we have zoom left, and fresh, right.

they switch places.

the donkey and fish also switch places on the screen because the fish ends up behind the donkey for a moment before the donkey goes off screen.
the boy and girl never switch places on any page.

if this is telling us what to do with the thoughts,
so we zoom on the mitt, and the cheese is fresh?

this has got to be something.

Sure.

Pass the bong, please.

NO you can't have my bong till you at least agree it could mean something.

I don't know if this has been mentioned yet, but here it goes:

So the slusho motto is "You can't just drink six" right?

Well, like many of you have said, that implies that you have to drink SEVEN.

There are seven deadly sins. There could be a little connection here. I think they are saying you can't just engage in 6 of the seven deadly sins, or 1 or 2 or 3 for that matter. You have to engage in ALL 7.

Maybe the monster is something that feeds off the immoral aspect of our society, and now has to kill us all? I don't know, just pure speculation. Let me know what you guys think.

is = to

So the slusho motto is "You can't just drink six" right?

Well, like many of you have said, that implies that you have to drink SEVEN.

There are seven days in the week. There could be a little connection here. I think they are saying you can't just experience 6 of the seven days, or 1 or 2 or 3 for that matter. You have to engage in ALL 7 for it to be a whole week.

Maybe the monster is something that feeds only on 4 day weekends or when society works on Sundays, and now has to kill us all? I don't know, just pure speculation. Let me know what you guys think.

-------------

Point illustrated: Where in the trailer or the 1-18 site or slusho at all anywhere is there any allusion, no matter how vague and remote that this movie, let alone a potential arg has any link whatsoever to 7 deadly sins OR the 7 days of a week.

There's something to be said for speculating possibilities given the factual evidence and elements on the table. Speculations that just blatantly ignore the framework that has clearly been presented is wasting time, it's not helpful, and not a "good idea as good as any other."

This isn't about what we personally associate something to be, it's not about subjective interpretation of obscure references. It's about looking for the relevance in what they provided AS IT LOGICALLY AND REASONABLY FITS INSIDE THAT FRAME.

Dead guy on the floor. Pick axe sticking out his forehead. Five other victims spread out around the house. Bloody butcher knife in yard.

Speculation based on evidence: mass murder scene. Possibly more than one perp.

HELPFUL potential to move things along.

Speculation based on subjective interpretation and personal association: you know the bible said that before the rapture people will vanish...maybe this is the beginning of the rapture and.....

NOT helpful. It's just not. And pointing this out is not being hostile, it's not being rude, it's not being a dick. It's being helpful. It's trying to get you back on track. It's constructive. Taking it as a personal attack because you didn't slam dunk tthe winning clue means personal confidence issues and has no place here. There's a frame we have been given. Speculation is helpful when it fits in the frame. It becomes painfully irritating and a waste of time when it's just gushingly ignorant of the known facts, the pieces that are clearly available.

80% of this thread has been hijacked by silly crap that is not reasonably helpful. No wonder nobody wants to read it before they post.

It is being a dick.

The slusho site is supposed to have clues in it right? Well in a murder mystery, thats what you use - clues...not 'dead guy with pick axe'. This is not rl youre trying to guess, its a game.

If you were detectives working on a homicide, youd have his number. But since hes playing a game and trying to decipher CLUES (not facts), you lose again tina.

Wow are u an ass, I just finished reading that crap of a post you put together.....look where you get all detailed about people not having slamdunk ansers and personal esteem issues.....that has nothing to do with any of this loser.

PEEOPLE DONT CARE IF THEY ARE RIGHT THEY AARE TRYING TO HELP - what you fail to realize is that outside of your 1-3 opinions, most peoples posts COULD HELP THE 500 people looking at this every day.

And no tina, the reason people are not reading this all the way thru is becuase its very long and many people have posted on it(regardless how you value or rank or SCORE their posts) - there is no hijacking except ur NONSTOP complaints tbh

PS to all

If you have to start/add/finish a post about someone else's post disregarding their post as rubbish with a disclaimer about how you 'dont mean to be a dick':

Youre prolly being one...food for thought.

PS - I dont mean to be a dick but......

methinks tina and one need to go clean out some sandy panties.

I actually was thinking of a stand up routine that I saw that had the same concept with the phrase "I'm just sayin'".

Other than that, please troll elsewhere, I'm not biting.

The Slusho! story is of magic and triumph!

Noriko Yoshida dedicated her life to refreshment! Her classmates called her the Smallest Whale because she would drink endless amounts of beverages at every meal.

Truth was Noriko loved libations so much, and drank so much, she did not join while the other children opened their fun, she rather experimented with flavor mixtures - combining different fruits, vegetables and other ingredients naturally grown form her father's (Ryouta Yoshida) farm to make great new beverages.

Her deliciousness made her loved throughout many towns and villages on Honshu.

And every year she would try to beat herself by comming up with a new flavor mixture, so unique to anything else - she was never satisfied!

But tragedy struck for the Smallest Whale! Noriko set off on a sea adventure to find the greatest, most tastiest ingredient to the world, and was never heard from again!

She left behind her only son, Ganu! Ganu also liked to experiment, but not with the beverage-making enterprise that killed his mother, but for science!

He abandoned his mother's drink business to his cousin, because the pain of her loss was so great with every flavor mixture Ganu attempted. Truth is that he became a lead ocean scientist. His accomplishments are many, he is very big.

And one fateful day, he and his teammates discovered a deep sea ingredient unique to anything else!!! While the team pondered miraculous ways to use it, Ganu had the best idea of all!! Because that night he had a dream - He was a tiny fish, and a whale came and told him to drink the ingredient. And as he did drink lots and lots of the ingredient, Ganu grew from a small fish into an enormous whale!!! He woke up with tears, he knew he had found the magic ingredient Noriko had set out to find!

He decided he would make his mother's dream live - make the tastiest drink, unlike anything on earth! Because the ingredient was discovered on the deep ocean floor, under amazing pressure and in the most extreme cold, Ganu knew he had to serve the ingredient in a near-frozen state to preserve its freshness!!

He re-joined with his cousin, and combining the incredible drink-making knowledge of noriko's business with the new ingredient, SLUSHO! came to life!!!!!!

Everyone who drinks a SLUSHO! tastes Noriko's dream, and becomes a small whale like Noriko - Because you want to drink huge amounts of SLUSHO!

YOU CAN'T DRINK JUST SIX!!!

anyone want a go at a normal text copy?

From some website that popped up when I googled for smallest whale:

Quote:
SMALLEST
The smallest Cetacean is Hector's dolphin, less than 5 feet long. Outside of the dolphin family, the smallest whale is the dwarf sperm whale which grows to be about 8.5 feet long (2.6 m).

...trying anagrams of the names and anything else that stands out...

i think, if there is symbolism, Noriko is the donkey. stayed out to see too long, and was lost forever...seems stuborn. and the donkey doesn't revolve alround like the fish. imho
