Email Phyllis threatned by Don Marzano

Oh Sunny!
I am in a state of total and complete outrage! My hands are shaking I'm so angry and distressed. James and Chris went off in search of a Radio Shack this morning so Iris and I went out to lunch and when we returned there were several large black cars in front of my house. A number of burly well-dressed men were milling about and a cluster of them was coming around the side of the house flanking Don Marzano! In reflexive fury, I jumped out of the car and marched right up to him. He tried being smooth and nonchalant, saying, "Ah, my dear Mrs. Willingham, may I call you Phyllis?" I spit back, "You certainly may not! How dare you come near my house or me! What do you think you're doing wandering around my yard without my permission? Get off my property now or I'm charging you with trespassing!"

Iris was beside me, clutching my arm and trying to restrain me, but I shook her off as a glared at that evil man. His bodyguards edged in closer to us, bristling, but I didn't care. The nerve! I told him, "I know you are responsible for implicating Douglas in that investigation! I know--" He cut me off, using this commanding tone of voice, "Aspetta Momento, listen to me, you Pucchiaca, you don't know what you are f*cking with here." He got in my face, his expression furious, and squinted his eyes, saying, "No one talks to me like that. Your pathetic little husband was a worm, a flea who lived to serve, who had failed too many times. You don't even know the first thing about him. Shut up with the insults. You will answer my questions now." Then, he grabbed my jaw in his paw and squeezed my face! Like he was a rough parent scolding a child, he continued, "You will do what I tell you to do and maybe, just maybe, I will forgive your impertinence and disrespect."

I'll tell you the fear went through me like an electric shock then and my fury evaporated. I suddenly realized that Iris and I were alone, surrounded by these menacing bullies. At that moment, another car came into the driveway and the Don let go of me with a shove that sent me staggering back. It was Sam coming to get the images of the graffiti on the floor. He came toward us, appraising the situation, and with each step his whole body took on defiant resolve. He got right between the Don and me and put his finger in that man's face! "Get the hell out of here!" He growled through clenched teeth, "Who do you think you are? Tony Soprano? You're not scaring anyone anymore! I've had it with you! Do you understand me?"

There was a frozen moment, a tableau: meek, little Sam fired up like a bull terrier growling and the Don glaring back at him. Then the Don took a step back and shrugged, "Calm down, you misunderstand." He motioned his men to back off and they withdrew their hands from inside their suit jackets. He looked away from Sam and pointedly looked at Iris and me, saying, "There is no problem here, nothing that can't be dealt with at another time." Then, he snapped his fingers and they all headed toward their cars. Just before slithering into the back of his limousine, he turned toward Sam and said, "Dale has very foolish friends. Fools often hurt themselves."

I immediately rushed into the house and checked to make sure the stone and the box are where I've hidden them. We've discussed it and we must go to the police and report this incident. I am going to file a complaint for trespassing at the very least. My jaw still hurts; if bruises come out, I'll get photos and add assault. I'm afraid, yes, I am very afraid but I will not be treated this way
by anyone!

Love,
Phyllis

For those of you who don't speak Italian, (or watch The Sopranos), here are translations for the Don's statement:

Aspetta Momento - "Wait a minute!"

Pucchiaca is a little off-color, so I'll use a spoiler.

Spoiler (Rollover to View):
Pucchiaca - Naplitano derogatory slang for a woman. It means "cunt".
