oh man... this...I... kick myself.
I read the post with the link to the key entry page, but didn't read the rest. So I had no idea what the key was, and submitting did nothing. eventually it said all the keys were used... then I read the rest of the comment. The key was there all along.

I was able to get in with my Live ID account.But I didn't have the birthdate problem because before it was able to be unlocked I was taken to a page telling me to enter a birthdate in my account info(which it already had).

What's the deal with the birthday thing? Is it truly that hard for microsoft to update a few people's profile so that we arn't considered minors anymore? I mean seesh...

That said, I was logged into my other live account at the time so I got through, but I didn't get a key? At least it didn't show my key to me...puzzling...

After realizing i needed to mess around the Halo 3 menu more, I went back to best buy, only to find it closed. I come back home and its already unlocked. I'm crying.
