whats all that stuff on the fridge, possibly a link to a new site?

Don't know about all that, but blonde dude in the background is seriously checking out the oriental lady's gazongas. Wink

And what's with Rob's face there? I know it's a one-second camera frame, but yikes.

New graffiti?

I'm not sure whether or not anyone has spotted this yet, but amongst the frames after the statue of liberty head was thrown, I made out some more graffiti spraypainted on the back of a streetsign. I believe it says "dead dead". Here's some frame captures:

Any ideas?

Does anyone suspect any possible numbers within the graffiti?

Edit: Also for the person who posted the image of the fridge before, here's a link to a high-def image.

There is something writen on the door-sill of the fridge, I can't really make it out though. My guess is "omjtery"? We need a zoom.

Wow T....thanks for that.

Any ideas how to get the other pic in jpg?

EDIT: I put that pic thru stegspy and got this

You Selected 1-18-08.jpg to be opened. Sorry no Steg found.

Rolling Eyes

Sorry, I've been trying a few other sensible names for the second picture but not had any luck with them yet. I try every now and then when I get bored but don't expect to have a good result, if I do find the second one I will post it

/edit

Just a thought, have you tried running the down loadable pictures from the slusho.jp website through your steg program?

/2nd Edit

Been playing around a bit Smile

http://www.1-18-08.com/images/pic_2.swf

http://www.1-18-08.com/images/pic_1.swf

I still can't find the original jpg for the group shot though, but still looking Smile

/3rd Edit

I got hacked off trying to find the original .jpg file from the images, so I tore this (the now attached image) straight out of the pic_2.swf file so I hope its of use

I also looked through the code of the swf file but its all nonsensical so I will have to try and find my copy of Dreamweaver and blow the dust off and see what it will reveal (if anything) but the swf files don't seem to be passworded or anything (as I think they can be sometimes, but not sure I don't usually use swf files)

maybe theres more important stuff on the fridge than that sign. For one theres the aisain language handwritting writting, they did some clues in Korean for the Lost game.

They are near canal street when they go to the street. Something tells me the Asian angle has more to it.

There are 2 phone books on top of the fridge, and someone suggested that the strange box behind the girls saying rob's awesome is a japanese phonebook.

what about that flyer looking thing that says ding dong? whats that all about?

behind rob, in the fridge screen cap the curtains have some kind of pattern on them, is it writting?

Directly above the Statue's crown as the head slides by is a dark-colored sign that appears to be in English and Chinese that says "Orchard (something)". I think the second word is 'fabric', but a search for Orchard Fabric in NY didn't turn up any webpages... Can anyone get a better/hi-def pic of this sign?

Guessing from the fridge being covered in takeout menus, I wonder.. when I looked at it, it read more like 'Ling Ling' to me- a Chinese takeout place? Don't have time to google it right now though, as am heading to work.

Googled Ling Ling. The top three searchs are for a California based frozen asian food supplier (clicking it just gives an image of a gnu and a penguin)
http://www.ling-ling.com/

the next is a Chinese restaurant in NJ, but the font of the name doesn't match
http://www.lingling.com/

And the third is a link to the Wiki page for the Drawn Together character Ling-Ling

Don't know if this has been brought up yet or not, but over at IMDB someone said it looked as though the giant alive roaring thing (GARTH, haha, oh god... ><) was exploding up from the ground. I'm not sure it's the monster itself, but it got me to thinking. That gigantic explosion does seem to be coming from a downward direction, because if it were a normal explosion we'd see lots of debris flying laterally as well. The only things we see that get launched (at least the only things I saw, it all happens kind of fast) are headed upward, not outward, suggesting to me that either most of the force of the explosion was directed upwards, or that they are projectiles being deliberately launched somehow by whoever.

Also, has anyone more familiar with that area pinpointed where the explosion originates?

I don't think anyone has so far, haven't seen it mentioned. I've been curious about the explosions too - three things in particular.

When the SOL head is thrown into the sign, why would it explode at all? Even if the sign was electric, it wouldn't blow up like that - that magnitude that is. And there's nothing in the SOL head constitution that is explosive.

Second is the shot of them running for cover from the roof. That explosion they witness sends what I originally assumed was just arcing debris into the air firework style....until each of those smoke trails crests and then there is a secondary explosion coming from whatever the objects are - and *then* they seem to projectile into the street with something resembling meteoric speed.

Third, the same scene but at the doorway, if you look across the street where the projectiles hit the one building (might need to do it on frame by frame to see it better), one hits the corner of the building. Well curiously despite debris, the building doesn't look like it got nailed as much as it looks like some black shadow/tar sort of thing just covers the corner. It seems like a substance is attached.

I wasn't sure if it was just CG blooper, or meant to be singed area or shadow but it was really curious that the top corner of the building didn't disappear into smithereens, it's still in tact and is now covered by spikey black stuff. Stuff being open to speculation.

I'll get a screencap and add it in a sec to make it easier...

I bear many receipts for reimbrusement

I've decided to come here to post what has been mentioned in other places, but not here yet.

In the scene where the girl says "Rob's awesome" you see that there's a box in the lower left - iamthequestions guessed it is a Japanese cereal box. Close, but it's not Japanese, it's the backside of the Kellogg's CRUNCH brand of cereals. "What's all the Crunch about?" is the text at the top. The same scene also contains a brand of Chinese Green Tea on top of the monitor, but I can't discern exactly which brand.

The fridge contains two magnets that say "Exit to Mystery St." This is from a banner seen at the New Orleans Jazz Festival at the city fairgrounds. It just so happens that Mystery Street comes to an end right at the fairgrounds, so it makes sense. (I'll find the image again sooner or later) The fridge also has a partially covered image that says "Your life has meaning" taken from a sidewalk spraypainted in Austin, TX. (http://tinyurl.com/2cehqj). The Ding Dong flyer has 2 tags below it, the top tag says "What my bag says about me" with blank lines below; the bottom tag is 4 words that are at this point indeciperable.

The street in the end of the trailer doesn't actually exist. It's a composite of different parts of Broadway and Orchard Street. Using Google Maps to get a street view of the area around 401 Broadway (From the sign that blows up as the head hits it) you'll see the yellow textiles sign just north of the address, looking south. If you continue north on broadway, at the intersection with Grant Street, facing southward you'll see the Saga America sign that's partially visible on the left side of the street in the trailer. The head then magically teleports itself to Orchard Street where it lands in front of Dolce Vita and Healthy Drive Inc. on Orchard Street. Most of that side of the street can be seen in that last shot, but the big "Orchard Street ____" awning that appears in the last frames does not actually exist; (Edit - the 401 broadway sign DOES exist - stupid Google Maps). The building that they exit out of, and the "____ of joy __t Rub" awning I have yet to find.

Some of the more discernable graffiti in the apartment is "BIFF" in large bubbly letters, with "o CWN o SLASHS" to the right of it in blue. On the rooftop, next to the door to the left is "CRAZE" and to the right it's commonly agreed it says "1987-2004 ace" when the explosion lights it up.

There is someone with a dark red "Switzerland" jacket that runs past the camera on the street scene.

Of course, everyone knows about the "ABZ-3293" license plate and the Slusho! shirt by now.

I'll probably update with more pics from the trailer at a later time. Right now I'm lazy.

Could be singe marks, there was flaming stuff hitting it in the same pattern, looks too spiky to be ooze.

You're right, though, I noticed the thing about the secondary explosions as well. I wondered about that even in the theater. Projectiles go up... explode... secondary projectiles hammer into street. Interesting. Especially since they shouldn't have anywhere near that kind of velocity unless they're falling from higher than it looks or something else gave them a "kick" towards the ground. I mean, yeah, things fall fast, but it looks to me like they have more momentum than they should.

As to the SOL head, I dunno. I'll need to watch it again.

Edit: You also notice the explosion happens RIGHT after the second roar? Cause -> effect?
