I'm trying to match these to myspace page portraits.

Nice, original thinking.

Whats the point?

Whats the point of the ability to move the pictures on 1-18-2008.com around?

Are we missing something obvious?

I've asked that a couple times. I think it might be worth noodling over for a little while.

The way the site's set up is a horrible way to actually display photos. Once you get more than, say, five or so, they start to seriously crowd each other, perhaps even to the point where you can't get to all of them.

They're not captioned either, so you really can't be sure of what you're looking at. Rather, not everyone's going to be sure of what they're looking at.

The photos are also posted out of sequence, which breaks the sense of continuity you might want to convey by posting pictures from the movie.

So why do the site that particular way?

OK, take a look at this Google Map Street View image.

Google Maps

As you can see they did a pretty good job recreating the block via CG. My point here is this... Because a good bit of the street is set or CG then why is there a phone number on the bill board that is NOT a 555 phone number? Is it not proper to always use non-existent phone numbers in film, unless....

See 1:25 of trailer and look far right over mans shoulder.

Time stamps?

Hello, new poster here.

I didn't see this mentioned on any page and I looked, so if I missed it I apologize.

Has anyone visited 1-18-08 at the specific times stamped on the pictures? Since NY is on eastern time, I would assume it would be best to try that time zone first.

Yes I did. Nothing. Also I set my computer date to 1/18/08 and the time to 12:01, 12:36, 12:48 am. Nothing there either.

If anything was suppose to happen at a given time we would have seen the code for it in the decompiled flash code.

Pics on 1-18-08.com

I've made a few posts as a "guest" here and finally decided to register.

Anyways, are there any theories on why the pictures start to rotate a little bit on their own after a while? What's the purpose of that?

New picture is up!

Since this one definitely shows an army type guy I wonder if that was one in the last smoke filled picture after all.

They aren't giving us much to go on in this one again.
