if you look away from the center, it's hair- if you stare at the center for a couple of minutes, it's still hair... that kind of looks like this freaky little gobblin. w/e - I never saw it until someone on here began tossing cookies about it.

Well I don't know about august- but they've been consistent with updating it every Friday/Thursday...

 		Here's something interesting relating to 2004 ace

Notice how it started on january 18th.

Other than that I don't see anything useful, but I thought it was worth mentioning due to the coinciding dates.

Haha nice find, but the Australasian Computing Education doesn't strike me as the type that would graffiti an apartment building in NYC.

Yes, we've gotten used to our weekly ration. Actually, I think this week, instead of giving us a new picture or a Slusho.jp update, they've given us the new personal interactions with the characters via their Myspace pages. So the more-or-less weekly pattern continues, but with a different twist this week.

It couldn't be any worse than the awful dreck that passes for most moviemaking these days. But seriously, I think you're missing the point. A film based on a camcorder view of a monster rampage isn't going to have any backstory at all. It's self-evident that the backstory is being handed to us now, through the myspace pages. People are interacting with the characters and there's no reason why the story behind the film can't be developed online. You have to take your head out of the 20th century and see the future of filmmaking as it incorporates the net. Besides, films in January always do poorly, so why not take a gamble?Snakes on a Plane, as awful as it was, was more expensive and the entire thing was based on ideas taken from fans on the web.

Character development is provided in myspace, much more in depth than any film could. If a person sees a sequel to a film, the backstory is in the film that preceded it, right? The trick is to make such a film stand on its own. We won't know till the film is actually released.

is it weird to wanna fuck one of the 'fake' girls?

The slusho site is really starting to get annoying. I wanna strangle both those creepy kids.

So where's the title?!?!?

it's gonna be January 17, 2008 and JJ will have a state of the union announcing that the title will be announced in the morning's paper.

Good point....although...it seems that there is rampant dismissal of trust when it comes to any sort of webpage marked as OOG in these forums.....has it been PROVEN WITHOUT A DOUBT as someone else put it in another thread here...that the myspace pages ARE LEGIT?
What if they aren't?
What if they are, and the creators of this Viral Marketing Campaign, I say this because as of me typing this there is absolutely NO evidence of any sort of ongoing ARG....what if they are letting the fakes play the game on my space?
No clue...when I say "proof" I mean "proven evidence" that the accounts on MS are no faked by really good hacks.

OOPS to keep this on topic: trailer still gives me chills when I play it in 5.1 surround sound, and the pics aren't updated on the 1-18-08.com site.

PS: Kinda contradictory though if they haven't been proven to be totally legit, yet others keep preaching about don't talk about other "proven" oog hack sites.

They're legit. The pics of Rob and JJ (slusho-shirt guy) are the same actors that appear in the trailer, and Beth is the "have fun in Japan" chick. Rob and JJ look the same (same 5 o'clock shadow) as in the film. Also, I read someone did a check and discovered that the pages were registered back in June.

Seriously, thanks, I just looked at the pics, and the registration info for myself again...didn't think about it before, I am never 100% convinced with these things lol....but but, it's looking better in my mind.
The date of registration is the big convince factor for me.

 		Something came up in the now totally-silly MEGA thread that should be here anyway. Who's the guy who comes in with Rob to the party and takes his pic just as everyone says "surprise!"? There's been almost no discussion of him. He's obviously not the vid-camera guy (who we now believe is HUD), at least not for that shot. I assume he's a co-worker since Rob's still wearing his blazer and tie (though the picture-taker is not similarly dressed). But they seem to be coming in pretty late--if we assume the party begins near midnight. I don't necessarily think it's significant, but he's not one of the myspace people, yet he must be close enough to Rob to come to his apartment late at night.

No problem. Incidentally, how does one check the registration info for myspace pages? I couldn't find it (though I have to say that I only joined for this and I wouldn't use it for anything else--it's pretty poorly designed for finding things).
