It's out of place, in timing and theme.

If you're using the 1-18-08 site to augment the story you started telling in the trailer, then the first and third photos make sense. They show events after the trailer and give you a rough timeline, too. They also give you an idea about what sort of action is happening. They're useful.

What use, from a story standpoint, does the party pic have?

 		Could anyone with good audio equipment take a look at the transcription of the trailer on my site? I'm not sure that all of the lines are accurate.

I look at it like a timeline to augment the trailer, and all of them seem reasonable....

party pic gives the time of 12:01A and isn't in the trailer, so is obviously before the trailer events.

2 chicks is the one that on its face looks out of place - without inferring they're upset about the thing up the road. The stamp on this one tho is curious - it's 4 minutes after the newsreport. Since there's not any shot in the trailer of these two girls this close to get this sort of shot, it's reasonable to infer this shot was taken after the trailer events. Also the trailer is what, a minute and change long? The 3rd pic of the haze and people can be inferred after the trailer too...all being a sequence of events in the timeline.

However, the party pic is specifically valid as being before the trailer and leaves no doubt that it's part of this movie.

The others not so much. We can't be positive the 2 chicks are anyone in the trailer either way - could be characters not introduced so far, but mostly would be presumed to be the black chick in the strappy dress at the very least. The other one who knows. But we don't know for sure what they'd be upset over. Same for the 3rd pic. Despite the events of the trailer and the forum posts, had you just arbitrarily shown me the picture without a frame, my impression would be that it was one of the post 911 shots.

Going with the obvious that they're all related to the movie and trailer, they do make sense in the timeline. One is before it kicks off, like right before...the rest are during and after....

Am I the only person who thinks the chick in the strappy dress is standing next to the chick with the curly hair? The one that says "whats this for?" Only because they are standing next to eachother in the trailer when out on the street.

Why people think its the same person... I have no idea.

That's not right, though.

Party Pic is definitely part o the trailer, just a part we haven't seen. The party apparently begins at or around 11:15 PM. The drinking guy is Rob, which means that it had to be taken after he got to the party.

The Two women are almost certainly Girl 1 and Girl 2 from the trailer (especially the end part). They look too similar to be two other people. That makes sense too, since it was the first picture found. It provides a definite and obvious tie between the trailer and the site.

The sequence they were posted is strange, though. To maintain a continuity of story, the Party Pic should have been posted first. It's out of place there. It's also out of place in that it doesn't apparently provide more information. We know there's a party. We know there's alcohol. Rob is there. Slusho Man is there. Girl 1 is apparently there (she seems to be the Evil Woman on the right). I think the theme of the photo (feeding Rob a drink when the rest of the party doesn't seem to be that sort of party) doesn't fit, but that can be reasonably disputed. It brings nothing new to the table - at least nothing new we've discovered to this point.

Am I the only who has noticed you can no longer use the Zoom In and Show All functions of the Flash Player? It happened after they posted the 3rd pic for me...

Oh, that's my unwitting contribution first day, like July 3 first day. Up too late, too much coffee, first look at the site, looking for what it was supposed to be about and got to looking at the photo and wondering if maybe it was - as in puzzle wise of who knows why - not two but one girl...so I whipped up a swap image pic and stuck it on here just to see if it was just me, or if this might be one chick. Mainly to just get a correct pattern visual so my brain would see one face and go "yep works" or "nope, next" and never as a suggestion it *was* one over two.

Next thing I know, I'm in a video (well my pic in question), it's made the rounds and turned into its own little Ethan Haas debate. Same for the "creepy demon thing"...and for the record, I never once said this is what it is. I was always asking. Ya know those scenes in movies where one person throws a twinkie at one person and misses, eh well...end of transaction....and then suddenly the whole cafeteria is in a food fight?

It's like that.

But hey, I got my YT 15 minutes so it worked out. I feel special. Razz

The way I was referencing it is specifically not in the trailer, and using the trailer video as its own unique visual package. We got a still shot, either from the cameraguy's point of view, or someone else's camera of stuff that happened before the events of the trailer, or stuff that's not in the trailer.

I get what you're saying tho about the timing. I missed it the first read. Missed it all along actually now that ya mention it. I thought the clock was 10:10 (over the door). But you're right - if the clock time isn't a "prop blooper" then this is the time he comes in, so the party pic is 2 hours and change later, I think it was - if it was 10:10 and not 11:15 - hard to see.

This goes back to the random thing having ulterior motives.

Why introduce them out of order?

In hindsight it seems logical it was done to draw attention to the time sequence itself...and the moving of photos suggests the "okay" to move them around in a different order, same as with the "random" positioning. I had that hunch on pic two that it was a time sequence and they would likely add another pic with another time stamp in the sequence. So, if nothing else, i got my ego shooter on being right at least once in this deal Razz

So until something comes to light that just negates it, I suggest staying on the time sequence trail.

Amusingly (to me anyway, ehhh) last week when the 2nd pic was added, I was half watching a show about an autistic kid and he drew some amazing pictures, like ungodly realistic, was really focused and absorbed in it, and some of the speculation was what he was producing was his way of communicating. That's what kicked me onto that train of thought - the PMs are mute, they can't break the wall....so what is it they're communicating with this stuff. It made sense at the time but I'm not saying they got the idea in that light Razz

No - they slipped in a day or so before they added p3 and sealed that up all mouselike and snuck out. ;-p

 		The rotational "tic" seems to suggest that relevant information can be obtained from the photos even looking at them from different angles.

Seems fairly accurate to me, has all the major voices, just missing a few background snippets that are dang hard to hear as it is.

Has anyone listened to the monster sound backwards to see if you can hear if there is something hidden? I don't have the equipment or I would do it. Sad
