Darling Sunny,
I'm sorry I didn't write to you this morning. We are all fine and I even slept late. Knowing that you are surrounded by your own mercenaries gives one a certain peace of mind. Now if I could just find a wonder of wizards to guard the inside, I should feel perfectly safe. Iris and I also received Dale's email last night and are aware of his new alias. I believe Chief Prufrock is controlled by the same prejudices that form most of society � those who have more money and political pull are given the benefit of the doubt while those less fortunate are discounted. I am certainly not poor or without some social standing and, for that reason alone, we were not charged with making a "false complaint." If I had been Joan Smith, a clerk at the grocery store, I would probably be in jail now. People like Dawn and even Pat Dobbs are paid by taxpayers and those who pay more than others get more respect. There may be a more direct "greasing of palms" going on but I have no evidence of that.
