I think the answers to the first wildcard are in this thread. The second one, i don't know if we solved.

Thank you.

It's the weekend now (and my birthday), but I'll see about taking a shot next week.

RE: Second Wildcard

Unless the winner (assuming there actually was one) or the game lets us know, I don't believe there's any way to know for sure because the only workable solution I could come up with had a typo (repeated word). It, however, made the most sense. Confused

Unless you have solved and sent the answers t the wildcards within 5 minutes or less of them going live I wouldn't worry about them as they do not relate to a piece of the puzzle the are just fillers to pad out the issuing of pieces due to low or slow sales.

Clue 15 is out. Pretty easy, check the anagrams & find the option that is missing, then a little larger views will bring it all together Smile

Is it just me or cant everyone get the piece from the page for clue 15?
I can't move the piece to the folder at all, all that happens is that the piece gets larger.

Edited to add i've found you need to make the piece larger to be able to move it.

I works if you right click the mouse while hovering over the small image and select "save picture as" from the list, then just save it in to the pieces folder. That will also work for any site that allows right clicking through it's pages.

65 sold - 30 collected - lots more wildcard days to come....

Just looked at the sales page on their site and they still have only sold 65 pieces so this could go belly up pretty soon if they don't get a serious sales drive going.

I also had a laugh and read through their blog and heres a couple of interesting contradictions as if we needed more...

Quote:
Don't bury them too deep – We want The Golden Jigsaw to be fun, not become a chore. Don't position pieces at levels of your site, which are so far down the flow chart that they are a real pain to find.

hmmmm given some of the recent puzzles players have had to solve

Quote:
Buy several pieces – Well, I would say that, wouldn't I? However, I have a very good reason, in as much as player's time and attention spent on your site will be considerably greater if you have 3 or 4 pieces to find, and it will be far more rewarding for them, as well as effective for you.

Surely this new style of clues has done away with the need to buy more than one piece as players already have to surf the entire site finding the words so this new style of play has actually cut their own throats for potential multi-sales.

Quote:
Finally, really publicise your web site's participation in the Golden Jigsaw as much as you possibly can – in the coming months we are going to go out of our way to bring YOU as much traffic as we can – If you do the same then we all benefit, as every player of the game will be compelled to visit and explore your site, in order to continue playing. Of course, you are also giving an exciting opportunity to more and more web users.

But if you advertise to much or share more than we want you to we will disqualify anyone that has used your site while they where playing the game.

Oh well it's to nicer day to sit in and wait for the next clue so I am off out to enjoy the sun, have a great Sunday everyone and enjoy.
