puzzle piece page
Well, I finally got it more than a day later. Turns out I had better luck getting a few of the initials and then just guessing the rest and finally hit it. Still don't know what 100% of them stood for, but who cares, got the piece.

clue 1...open a link find one with a shopping BASKET
clue 2...both italic sections are anagrams
clue 3...italic is anagram...google doges palace it is where?
clue 4...italic is anagram...points to it
clue 5...another name for a call sign then color

I've finally found the site but i can't work out the clues at all.
Found a few with baskets but nothing in italics Sad

Clue 28 is perfectly obvious and helpful to anyone of average intelligence

the italics are on their clue page

and only one uses BASKETS

More warnings

In my psychology class we were taught that there are only 2 ways to get someone to obey:

1) fear (such as a stern father that you are afraid of for fear of him)

2) respect (such as a loving grandmother).

So which one is better? Respect or put the fear in people?

Well based on the email we get for clue 31 I think it is safe to assume that there is no chance in hell of them actually being ale to sell all the pieces to make this game work and rather than there being a pot of gold a the end of it there is nothing but a crock of shite waiting (excuse my French)

Yet again they have resorted to bullyboy playground antics to try and make sure that no-one under no circumstances publishes anything negative about them on the web under penalty of death or worse.

With regards to this I think they should take a look at sites like www.paypalsucks.com, this site was created by people sick of the way paypal worked and if a site like that can carry on and stay up against a site that makes well over £1,000,000.00 each week in fees and after it complained about the site and tried to have it closed down, then a two bit site like GJ stands no chance at all.

I really think they should consult a lawyer on the laws of copyrights to as it is 100% legal and allowed for extracts of text to be taken from the whole for the purpose of discussion and debate in a non profit forum.

As for the domain name well they can not be registered as copyright and anyone can register the same domain with a different ending without breaking any laws what-so-ever so if you feel like it then www.goldenjigsaw.uk.com / .eu/ .me.uk/ .tv/ .cc/ and others are available for as little as £2.50 a year.

A boring bit, extract take from copyright law:

Research or private study:

Research or private study is not collective but are individual acts. The current UK copyright law permits copying of works for research or private study only if it is aimed at a non-commercial purpose. For academic staff and research students in FE and HE, this creates an obligation of using proper citations during publications. Fair dealing with copyright works in the educational environment is permitted if the source is acknowledged, not done through reprographic means (e.g. multiple photocopying, faxing, scanning) and not aimed at a commercial purpose. Thus, a teacher instructing students in a commercial FE or HE institute (e.g. profit oriented ones) or imparting training courses to external company staff should be aware that hand outs and materials for such events observe these guidelines. For teachers involved in setting examination papers, the law requires them to include sufficient acknowledgement of the copied matter where practicable. Students answering these questions in exams are luckily exempt from the requirement. The law also covers the recording of web broadcasts by educational establishments. Primarily, to record a transmitted broadcast FE or HE institutes would need an ERA licence. In the absence of such a licence, the FE or HE can make use of the broadcast only if it acknowledges recording of the data or uses it for non-commercial purposes and transmits it only to persons within the premises of the educational establishment. In practice, this can prevent the commercial FE or HE institutes (without ERA) from recording and re-broadcasting content through e-transmissions for distance learning purposes on internet or an intranet.

Library uses:

The making of copies from books in libraries by its users (staff or students) is fair dealing only if it is made for research or private study for non-commercial purposes. This would require the user to sign a copyright declaration form confirming that the use is purely non-commercial prior to making a request.

Criticism and review:

Fair dealing for criticism and review is permitted under the new law only if it is accompanied by sufficient acknowledgement and the work is made available to the public.

Visually impaired people:

The new law has created special exceptions for visually impaired people. A visually impaired person or FE or HE institute may make copies for a visually impaired person if it is for his/her personal use. But this is subject to the condition that the visually impaired person or the institute already has legitimate master copy (bought or borrowed) and that a copy of the work is not commercially available. An additional exception that caters to visually impaired persons allows the making of multiple copies if the author of the work is acknowledged and if the making of the copy does not interfere with the legitimate exploitation of the work.


Anyway looking forward to clue 31 and wondering how much of the web we will have to trawl for the next bit.

One thing they forgot in all of this is that we are "customers". For example, a golden rule of keeping customers happy is "Customer Appreciation". Some of the things that fall under that category are:

"Thank you and come again!"
"Thank your customers for doing business with you."
"Keep everyone happy so they will recommend to a friend"
"Treat your customers like gold and they'll be customers for life."
"The most powerful tool in your marketing arsenal is a customer referral."
"Give your customers a reason to brag about you and you'll have a lot of customers knocking at your door!"

added: Imagine a top publicly traded company such as a fast food resturant. They put a huge sign on their door as you leave you read it and it says "Warning, if you didn't like our hamburger and you voice your opinion about it on the internet, we are going to sue you".  		I'm really begining to think that this is going to all end in tears.
If they do manage to sell all the pieces i wonder if the person who wins happens to be a friend/relation of theirs/
I don't understand why they haven't done any advertising of this on the tv etc, that way they would get more people interested in buying pieces and more people playing so the websites get more people buying
(if that makes any sense at all)

I'm still having problems with clue 29, i have got the correct link i think, the location of the palace, the callsign and colour i think but still coming up with a brick wall Sad
