I will agree on that, whatever the sound is it comes from all sides and not a specific direction. Even the roar seems to have a depth and direction.
I'm not hearing it.
There's a laugh right before the beginning of the roar. Is it before or after that?

Perhaps it is a voice over or narration added in after filming the trailer? it sounds much crisper than the other voices

I hear it during the wide shot of the party crowd, after the laugh and just before the lights flicker and the roar begins.
If I can dig up my old copy of Soundforge I could take a look-see at the sound file and see if there's something actually going on. If there is I can try and clean up that portion of the audio and maybe we can hear what the hell it is.

Little late.
Anyway, I have an excellent sound system and headphones on my computer. I have that part on repeat and I'm just not hearing it. I hear a car alarm, which has two sounds: annoying high pitched fast tone, and barely audible horn.

update Just to pass it along, someone showed up on thread of doom saying they "found" the site www.slushozoom.com
For the record, the day we were led to slusho.com I looked for slushozoom too and it did not exist.
WHOIS for this site reveals:

So heads up if it makes any attempt to slide in here. Otherwise, it could be fansite or helpful. Don't know yet but since it's doubtful you guys would check page 1 for updates, I'll add it here....I've added it to the list of unrelated. If it turns out to be something helpful or supportive, I'm sure it'll end up in the first ref. post accordingly.

Quick question, the website referring to the numberplate seen in the trailer. ABZ-3293. It's the Station Wagon that got trashed at the 1:30 mark of the Trailer. Confirmed OOG or not enough leads yet?

Can almost guarantee that it's OOG. Used to have bunch of linkspam on the right side, now they edited the template. And I mean come on "Template proudly ripped from h4x3d". Would you find that on an official site?

I'm hearing a female voice say "the myth", too. Weird!

The Voice: "The myth" or "They live"? I've been mentioning the female "voice" on other sites for a while now. However, it sounds to me as if it's saying "They live" as opposed to "The myth." And considering how much debate their was over the "...it's ALIVE..." line, I'd imagine there are probably other interpretations of what this "voice" is saying.

"The Myth," or whatever she/it says, is Noriko calling...

I don't... it's statement, sure, but it's a statement of curiosity. I just left out the insanely overused "yup, uh huh, it's true I give it 5 stars" 'cuz that all makes it sound ridiculous.
So...listen to it. I can't say it's "the myth" but I'm certain it's not anything said by any of the characters. It sounds like part of the growl but it sounds so different from the second part.
When considering the slusho story, and someone's reference to FFX saying that Noriko "went all sin," it just makes sense. My opinion & spec. of course, that Rob is the son & slusho shirt guy is the cousin.
Mother's home...
