No, it only tells us when they were last human. We haven't heard much out of Gabriel or Michael for a while. We've never heard from Chet directly ever. They could be changed. I can't recall anyone ever describing Christine's knuckles or asking her to say aliens. To that point, I can't even recall the same for Colby.

So I think we should tell Colby how to spot an alien and not tell Gabriel. Here's why:
- If Colby isn't an alien, obviously this is helpful.
- If Gabriel isn't an alien, it doesn't matter. He already knows his town is full of them and is suspicious of everyone. He doesn't need us to be cautious.
- If Colby is an alien, then it doesn't matter. He's going to Indiana to meet up with his other alien friends and do whatever it is that aliens do. Gabriel will be ok because he trusts no one anyways.
- If Gabriel is an alien, telling him these things could be bad. He may or may not be aware of these signs. If we make him aware of them, he might try to hide the signs from Colby. Colby has shown himself to be trusting, so if Gabriel can hide or play off the "signs", then he could gain Colby's trust and manipulate him.

Once the characters start getting back online, we can start testing them out and see who we really should be trusting and who we shouldn't. Once we know who is not an alien, we should let them know how to spot aliens.

Edit : I wonder if Gabriel already knows some of these "rules". It might explain why he pushed him mom down the stairs. He was testing to see if she floated. Intentional or not, I guess it shows that Gabe's mom isn't an alien.

Edit 2: Has anyone told Colby about the Prophecy email? Should we even tell him about it? Perhaps wait until we confirm he's human?

What I'm saying is, all the people that there have been direct contact with, have spoken about things happening, things being different, and 'aliens'.
Therefore up until the last time they were spoken to (either via AIM or whatever) They were human and not Alien. Ruling out any of the 'taking sides' stuff thats going on in the thread.

Ruling out both Chet and himself, if you follow the guide, then if they were Alien at that point, neither would admit there was anything wrong at all, and also wouldnt be able to discuss it.

On a side note, what are the chances of Chet being Agent darkness?

Hmm, that gives me pause then. Maybe I'm misreading the rules. I take the first rule to mean that if you asked an alien "Is anything wrong, *you* seem weird", they would say no. I don't think it precludes them from pointing out weirdness in others if they aren't aliens. Colby is a bit weird, aliens or no Wink

I think it was also AngryBuddist that commented in the blog : they can't say the word aliens, but it isn't real specific if they can type the word. Unless the Agent gives a bit of clarification, I'd say the only way to be sure is to actually get a character on the phone and get them to say the word alien ... or have all characters submit pictures of their left hands.

As for Chet being the Agent ... maybe. Its as good a guess as any. We haven't heard from him at all, so this might be him. I kinda wonder about Angelica too. We find out a little about her and now she's vanished. If she isn't important, why the deal with her meeting up with some other dude for dinner? I don't think she's the Agent though.

Haha yes!

Yeah I was thinking the same thing too, they may be able to type anything they like, re-reading the blog it does specifically say, they cant physically say Alien...

I was also wondering, with the 'Agents of darkness' I wonder if we are the Agents?[/b]

I always kind of assumed 'Agents of Darkness' was a euphemism for 'Men in Black'. They were mentioned as having been seen around town, weren't they?

You are correct. Gabriel mentions something about men in black being in town. I get the feeling that Agent Darkness isn't one of them. No proof though.

Anyone have any ideas why the title of the latest blog entry is "And then the lights went out"? Maybe a signal that we won't be hearing from the Agent again any time soon?

Edit : how interesting. Every AIM profile is now blank.

This could be, but I think it more likely it is a reference to the lights actually being out in Unton.

Some Points.
(sorry its so long)

ok alot has happened since i signed off last night (figures) so let me comment on a few points..

A.) yeah it does look like the agent responded to me directly... i finally did something right for a change...YAY ME Dunno

B.) When you look at the posting that leads us to the document 5224, at the end it says "If you really want to you can find the document that was sent to me." So what does this mean? the agent didnt create this document, so the agent didnt know HIMSELF how to spot them. This could be our first clue into the realizaton that these "agentS" are not part of an official government agency. Either that or he is like the last kid picked in dodgeball during recess. (the last to know).

C.) Regarding the "rules" to spot an alien:

1.) "They deny that anything is different." - this is a pretty vague statement. It could mean anything different with himself, OR it could mean anything different in general (IE. theres nothing different in Unton at the moment).

2. ) "When asked their hometown, they wait exactly 3 seconds to respond." - Now do they mean in person, over the phone, or on AIM? We know it couldnt be by email because they really dont have control on how fast the mail is sent and/or when it is read. IF it is by AIM, this is one test we could use as a tell for anyone we assume to be compromised.

3.) "They physically cannot say the word "alien"." - I agree with whoever said the word "physically" means everything here. We can be lied to on the internet, but in person it is probably a different story. This tell is most useful for Colby when he visits Unton.

4.) "Their eyes change color when they experience extreme emotions." - Again this tell is going to be extremely crucial for when Colby visits Unton.

5.) "They have the ability to float." - Im not completly convinvced that that is why Gabriels mother was pushed down the stairs. I still think she may have realized something was wrong with Gabriel and tried to escape and was pushed (maybe she made him angry and saw his eyes change?).

6.) "A small black mark is on each of their left knuckles." - Again, this is a physical tell that will aid Colby in his visit to Unton. I highly doubt we are going to get Gabriel, Michael, Chet or anyone else that may be compromised to willingly send photos of their knuckles. No, this tell is important because it can allow Colby to spot an alien without actually coming in direct contact with them. (he could hide and watch for a spot on the knuckle).

D.) Now that we have information to arm Colby with we need to contact him immediately (im sure some of you have)... but just to be on the safe side, maybe we should put Colby to the test? It wouldnt hurt to try.. i mean IF he passes then we will at least know for sure. IF he fails we know information about him that he doesnt know we know... you know? lol that made sense didnt it? It helps to know things your enemy doesnt. It gives you the upper hand.

E.) Things Colby needs to bring to Unton:

Binoculars - to spot the "mark" on the knuckles and to possibly see if anyones eyes change. These two things can be done from a safe distance with no danger to Colby.

Cell Phone - if Colby needs a place to stay he will probably go to a hotel. In order to go to the hotel though, it would be best if he put the owners to the "alien" test. That way, he will sleep a little better at night if they pass. If they fail, he will at least know who else to watch out for in Unton. By doing this all by cell phone, Colby will be a safe distance away to avoid danger.

A Weapon - We are still unsure if these aliens can be killed and if they can, how. Therefore, if Colby has access to a gun (or a tazer?) it would be best to bring it along with him. If he doesnt have access to a gun, then a knife would be sufficient. It seems obvious Colby isnt the fighting type but if he goes to Unton, he better be prepared to. I doubt I need to explain why.

Handcuffs/Zip ties - (get that thought out of your head you naughty little people) Handcuffs and zip ties are some more things I think go without explanation. If he has an encounter and it becomes dangerous, he is going to want to incapacitate these aliens so he wont have to look over his shoulder the whole time.

A few more important carry- alongs would be: a flashlight, water, food, change of clothes, backpack, fist aid kit, sneakers, and finally a hooded sweatshirt, hat and sunglasses. These will disguise him in case someone is looking for him and/or spots him.

F.) Advice for Colby in Unton:
He should not specifically seek out the agent but if he does encounter him we should advice that he exercise caution.

He should maybe start with Gabriels mother. She may know things that can aid Colby in his investigation. But first, of course, he should give her the alien test.

Does anyone else have any advise for him? I think we should pool all of ideas and send it to Colby all at once, so he doesnt have to get 300000 emails, some saying the same exact thing. So lets hear the advice for colby everyone. I'll try to put them all together to send to him. cool?

Ok people Im sorry this post was so long but I wanted to put that info out there so people could dissect and analyze to help Colby... thanks! Very Happy

this could be a phone number.

whoeveer talks to him HAS to get him to try to say the word "alien" or other tells for that matter.
