I've posted this before in another thread-

IMO Rob would be stoic/odd becuase he caught a glimpse of the monster, before the party, in the "flashback" scene. Maybe there were earlier "sightings" of something large in the water and the fact that it's going nuts now isn't that big a surprise.

After the first roar and the light go out, and everyone goes to the window, the expression on Rob's face isn't that of "Oh man, what have I done?" or "How could it happen THIS early?", instead it's a look of pure shock as in "Wow, what is going on! Is this a dream?" almost as if he just say a ghost or whatnot.

I think people are just reading way too much into Rob knowing something when there's no actual basis for that theory.

Let's clarify something... the TRAILER is like that. You have no idea what the movie's like.

Exactly. How many times have you seen a movie trailer that has scenes that NEVER appear in the movie?

Assuming that the trailer was the first major hint to his movie and has slowly led us to clues around the web, I admit that trailers sometimes don't have anything to do with the movie, but in this case it would be odd for him to do it.
Also the characters even have their myspace containing hints, I think I can say that these people are going to play a big role in the movie.

Of course I could be wrong, but in this case it seems unlikely.

Its true..we could be looking too much into this and feeding our thoughts so to speak into the character....but when I saw the trailer I thought the same thing....He knows something.

I know we have nothing to back this up with...its all just making a guess.

best night ever [spec]

Not sure if this has been posted yet and many apologies if it has.

Pause the trailer immedialty when the guy says "Its going to be the be the best night ever" comes into shot (when he fuzzes into shot) notice how scary he looks then compare him to the pic of the two girls staring up with the bearded face in their hair...

Again sorry if this has been posted before

I'm pretty sure when the story is talking about a Japanese guy named Ganu, it is in fact talking about a Japanese guy named Ganu. Not sure why people would think otherwise.

This is going to be going to be crazy spec that I don't believe myself, but it's been knocking around in my head all day and it needs out.

Suppose at some point that the PMs do let Rob start listening to the chatter on his MySpace page and maybe interact a bit. People start telling him the gloom and doom, but he doesn't believe and says prove it. We say "Hey you're going to Japan and are going to have a surprise party the night before you go!" He'd say we could have found that out from any of a number of sources.

Then we say "OK, the magic 8-ball predicts that it will be 63 degrees on 1-18 at 12:32 am. Oh, and you will owe some guy $11." Time passes, shit hits the fan and Rob realizes he's in the middle of everything he's be warned about, thus the suspicious look.

OK, got that out, now flame away.

Can't blame you for that. Things are slowing down a ton. I really hope something big comes down soon.

Interesting idea, but I don't think that could happen b/c that would assume that the fictional world of the movie & game is the same as the real world. In the Lost Experience, they could get away with that, b/c the main events of LOST take place on an uncharted island in the pacific, so it could conceivably be a real place, existing today. But, you can't play that same game with a story that's centered around a monster rampaging through NYC. Given that, I don't expect any of the MS pages will ever react to posts from ARG players.

"First off, there's no way in hell it'd be that hot in the middle of winter at night. Have you even been to New York in January? It's friggin' cold! And secondly...how the hell did you know about the $11 bet? That was like 15 years ago and I never told anyone. Did Scruffy put you up to all of this? I bet he did, that *Expletive*."

(Well, he looks scruffy, he could use a haircut and a shave. I've seen dogs with less hair than that guy.)
