I would be really surprised if "steg" was something necessary to complete this thing. Mainly because, up to now, I'd never heard of it before, and I'm sure others haven't either.
It's been used in ARGs before.

Gee... How cheap. OK then, I stand corrected.

At any rate, despite stegdetect indicating a possible something, stegbreak reports nothing found, at least based upon the 200,000+ words in the file it used.

I note that Caph's WHOIS has:
privacy-235005SPLAT domainprivacygroup.com
and Gamma Cass's WHOIS has:
privacy-235006SPLAT domainprivacygroup.com
Do the Ruchbah and Segin sites' WHOIS have:
privacy-235007SPLAT domainprivacygroup.com
and
privacy-235008SPLAT domainprivacygroup.com
?

The text in Schedar might be RADIAN. I still don't see anything in Caph.

Caph is going to say the same thing. The trick with Caph is that the parchment background is the same as Schedar, but angled and expanded. I just kept hoping that if I could redrag/unexpand Caph to line it up with Schedar, I might see more of it.

Cassiopeia has several stars with a declination close to 1 radian (57° 17' 44.8"). I don't know if that's supposed to mean anything.
---
(unrelated) Searching on "1849 Cassiopeia" turns up a reference to a character in one of the Harry Paget Flashman novels ("Flash for Freedom!").

This is crazy. The remaining pages HAVE to be the next step don't they? Have they really just gone quiet for awhile, did we miss something, or was the arguably-out-of-game way I found the other URLs the way we were supposed to find them?
(Actually, that last makes no sense anyway, because if it were the case, then each URL would display its own jpg, not display the same one.)
So. Impatient. Am. I. Becoming.

and yet if the last two weren't meant to be discovered that way, why have them up at all...? they could be "Welcome to the Home page of the future website for ..." just like Divinus as long as the PM's wanted...

I wish we could get a message through to Van so we can let him know the 1st page has been found twice.
I got a weird email from this sender....
Thisisthebeginningoftheancient_rqrtywySPLAT cmpgnr.com
It was labeled 260 and has a pic of the Caduceus vs the Staff of Asclepius medical symbol attached. I didn't think I had signed up for any of the fake sites??? Has anyone else gotten this?
It says 08.01.07 This is the beginning of the ancient word.

I keep emailing Van. Hopefully he'll quit with the autoresponses and give me something useful.

"This is the beginning of the ancient word" is the opening of the Mayan "Popol Vuh".

Nevermind I replied to the email and it said I had emailed Triad Genomics which is another ARG on this site. I got bored a couple of weeks ago and had started to read through the thread. I had totally forgotten I had signed up for the newsletter.
I guess they are waiting for something on the 1st of August too. Sorry I'm crazy.
