OK, we ARE missing something in the picture. There's something hidden here. The 'original' (I assume it is original, and the site is OoG) is 24,214 bytes; the one on the livejournal is 30,921 bytes.

There's something in it...

Original:Livejournal:

EDIT*: They are very nearly identical but have some minor differences. Maybe if take only those pixels that are different between the two pictures? Ummm... Anyone know how to do that? : Shocked [/b]

I almost don't want to mention this -- I feel like I'm being paranoid or something -- but it was strange. When I got to the library there were some people there that just looked... off. One of them wasn't even reading or anything, just staring at people as they went in and out. A taller guy was there with him, reading a paper I think.

When I pulled out the picture to show the librarian the taller one pulled the other guy with him and they left.

It was just a bit creepy... Maybe I'm just really jumpy right now.

Is there any significance behind this? I had heard talk that this wasn't really a game after all, and these guys either have something to do with a real kidnap conspiracy, have ties to the puppet master, or have nothing to do with anything. Can we ask her for a more in-depth description of these guys?

ETA: I'm no good at puzzles, but even I can see a message in here.
Take away some of the letters and you get: hes lying and as hes got me and make sure somone finds me help theresa a way to get lj out .

There's probably lots more, but like I say, I typically suck at puzzles.

new post on EI
To Georgia!

Looks like our hero is going to GA.

Someone suggested Savannah, GA and... Well, I really have nowhere else to try.

Catch y'all later.

I need more sleep -- that shouldn't be funny.

...

And rock_star_mom got that stupid cipher from before.

"we're lookin', beware everyone. -sam"

I'm on the right track. I knew it.

I've been to Savannah many a time. It that's where she's going, I'd have to say, I feel sorry for her right now.

I hear ya, and chances are, there's a good chance she'll have us go somewhere else before this is all said and done. On her LJ page, it said that rock star mom(Lacey) thinks they figured out the OBIWAN cipher. It supposedly says, "We're lookin'. Beware everyone. -Sam." They said the apostrophys were added in, and weren't in the cipher.

Tanya's LJ Blog Update

Quote:
Jul. 25th, 2007
Look! The "helpful" person who sent me on this crazy wild goose chase sent another message.

It's over here.

I tried to reverse it, but umm... Well, let's say that I'm less than skilled with audio programs. I tried WavePad, though, and if I'd had more than a few minutes to play with it I think I could possibly have done something with it

... Anything at all.

Especially since REM just e-mailed this message from Trish's journal to me:
hes lying and hes got me and make sure
somone finds me help theres no eas way to get out alv

I haven't had much luck with her e-mail, but it's the same as her journal account (srsfolkloreSPLATyahoo.com). I should have checked for it earlier but this is just so... GAH.

Dinner's done. Back to the road.

The message she received was Seven Wonders by Fleetwood Mac. My US geography is crap, so any places called Emmiline or Fleetwood near where Tanya is now?

Well, there are three Fleetwood's in GA, however there is also an Emmalane.

You can call me "she", Maverick. I can confirm that I'm definitely female. Very Happy

I went with the "I'll make a path to the rainbow's end" line and found an Under the Rainbow B&B in Savannah, so I suggested it.

Heh. I found this place through ARGnet, and the first ARG I get into is featured there (if not in an entirely flattering manner).

"ARG with training wheels,"

Most of this stuff might be cliche for y'all, but being my first time out, I'll take the training wheels. Wink

Especially since this actually made it possible for me to finally explain what an ARG -is- to my fiancee. Laughing

Do I need to point this out?
Seven Wonders of Georgia
EDIT - or as James Stone points out on LJ,
Fleetwood neighborhood in Savannah?
