[spec] New stuff is coming 7/19 over at ABO, someone posted this about july 19:
"From here http://www.wonderwallweb.com/story-277-halo-to-your-mobile.html
orginally found on B.net CI forums Here
As you can see, the ad links to http://halo.msn.com/downloads/ which then links you to halo3.com.
The site itself:
From Thursday July 19th Microsoft are giving you the chance to get your hands on exclusive Halo 3 goodies, these range from Messenger/Windows Live Spaces Pics for your PC and your mobile phone to an exclusive Halo 3 ringtone featuring the legendary Halo theme!
To get this free downloadable content just click the above banner anytime from Thursday 19th July onwards.
Here's the full list of content you'll be able to get:
PC Downloads
· 2 PC screensavers
· 6 Messenger Pics
· 6 Live Spaces Pics
· 3 PC Wallpapers
Mobile Phone Downloads
· 3 Mobile Phone Ringtones
· Wallpapers
· Video
· Animated Wallpapers"
maybe some clues will come then because if you roll over the ad you see several glyphs...

definitely something to watch tomorrow (tonight after midnight too?)
Considering the flash ad has the glyph blatantly pasted in it, and it's 7/19. Could be nothing still, but too many coincidences not to think there's something at least...

I'm always on the skeptical side (unless it's a blatant puzzle solution, of course), and this is most definitely going to have arg related material. The other possibility is that the ARG will later refer to some of these promos, and they will give nothing but spec stuff, but they wanted all IRIS players to look into it.
Glyph AND 719 (right after the server opens) is pretty much a clinch that there'll be some IRIS goodies in there.

http://halo.msn.com and
http://halo3.msn.com are both active (same), and are nicely designed... most links are inline flash pages, save an article or two, and the direct link to halo.msn.com/downloads, which is currently 404'd.
Whether they make that a link or have it redirect to a specific page inside the flash site itself, we'll see. I'd assume the latter, bt that's all trivial anyway.
Point is, new downloadables tomorrow

yeah, I'm new, brand new, but I have been "lurking" as I seem to have picked up, and I'm aware of this whole game, it's really kinda lame but it's moreso interesting,
but anyway, has anyone pause framed that flash at the top of that page for probable clues, cause I can't. I think they all say the same thing about the "signal" (719Hz?) but maybe...

For those who don't have a WAP enabled phone (meaning you can't get tomorrow's phone downloads), the WinWAP browser should allow you to get them on your computer:

And just to clarify before it gets brought up, the poster of the news is Wotta, who I think it's safe to assume is a regular person just posting new. Wotta is also registered at N4G.com , with numerous article submissions.
Not a name to go googling around for as wotta seems to be legitimate.

Bringing the file to 719Hz doesn't change much. Any ideas?
from args.bungie.org:
Lurker newb here... wanted to know if anyone noticed that the 719Hz image looks a lot like the images in the background on the MSN Halo3 downloads page... maybe the wallpaper images have hidden clues to crack instead of waiting til tomorrow?!

probably nothing, but it's interesting to note that you can download everything except for the Screen Savers on

Nice find- probably wasn't supposed to be up until tomorrow. I didn't notice anything in the pictures, but I can't listen to the mp3's at work. Anyone hear what they are? Just Halo3 music/quotes?

I thought this pic might be significant; see how the glyph is combined with the "Moon Phase" chart.

The "New to ARG's" guide says to run pictures through a scanner to see if any hidden information is in them. I'm at work or I would.
Has anyone done that with the glyph pics yet?
