How about this...

Maybe if you combine all 4 posters together you can see something new. Like if you lay them on top of each other and shine a bright light through the back you get an image or web addy or something.

Just a crazy thought, seeing as the Bad Robot logo doesn't seem to be on all of them, then maybe there are more subtle differences.

Starting from the Paramount logo as :00, :52 is absolutely nothing important but a blurry shot, BUT starting from the Preview has been Approved thing, 00:52 is when you can best see the Slusho! logo on the shirt...

The time stamps on the photos must be times in the trailer for other clues. This was said a little while ago, but not much of it was looked into in great detail.

Haven't seen this posted yet. The second poster is ""Furious" http://cloverfieldclues.blogspot.com/ has a picture of it up.

Who'd have thunk it... Harry Knowles actually reported something true...

Actually, Harry reported that the next posters would be "Barbarous" and "Ferocious". So, Harry was close, but not quite right. Furious is pretty close to Ferocious, though.

You're absolutely right, I retract the statement.

I need to get some time away from this, just a small break. The comics I get tomorrow should make that break nicely.

And that just means they are snatching those domain names up before non-Paramount people register them. It doesn't mean they will ever actually place a website w/ that name.

Someone on eBay UK was offering domains with the variation of '1-18-08.uk' through an auction, the money grabbing has now begun.

What is that? Forgive the MS Paint. Photoshop CS3 is refusing to work for me. But in the large poster picture on CloverfieldClues it looks like that isn't really supposed to be there.

If it is actual text I think it sorta looks like 52, or 5-2...

Whilst keeping in mind the artistic liberties taken on the poster and the Manhattan skyline, in real life in the area the '52' artifact occurs are the ferry terminal buildings which serve the Staten Island and Circle Line ferries.

For the moment I figure '52' is simply an image artifact from what was done to the poster nearly eradicating the terminal buildings from view.

But I can't be sure without seeing the source image or an even better resolution pic of one of the posters.

I still doubt the name of the movie is Collosus. I think when Harry read this line "The title? Well, I don't want to spoil it, so you should go ask, Piotr Nikolaievitch Rasputin!" he was just throwing a hint. Still think its Collosal.

I vote Collosal, at least it's not monsterous. crap

- so by January we'll have how many posters? maybe 6? or 7?
I keep seeing the visuals: the first three, like the headless SOL, will show only destruction left by the creature, acompanied with the teaser titles (monsterous, ferocious, etc), then with the title, part of (or all of) the monster's feature(s) will be shown, with Collosal..or 1-18-08, Clover maybe. w/e

maybe, no?

How many faces can I find in this poster? Is that Lucy Lui? Start at the 8 in 18, and scan upwards. Maybe I'm seeing things, or possibly a reflection?

I didn't see anybody mention that the movie trailer part in Apple's website has updated the 01-18-08 movie poster to the new one and it doesn't say "MONSTROUS" on it. That would lead me to think that the official movie poster doesn't either because they usually use a picture of the film's actual movie poster to link to the trailer.

Also, the actual trailer site has a cool hi-res background of the same shot as the poster and it's just begging to be turned into a desktop background....

Anyway, here's the link to where you'll find the poster pic (link):

And a link to the tailer site with the cool background:

I outlined the faces in red. They can be found in the wake. Above that eight.

The poster that J.J. Abrams released on Thursday does not have a title on it.

http://www.ew.com/ew/article/0,,20048197,00.html

He also released three other posters that were exactly the same, but each had a different adjective/title: "Monstrous", "Furious", and "Terrifying". There is supposed to be a fourth poster at some point, which is supposed to reveal the movie's name:

I just can't wait. "Monstrous", "Furious", "Terrifying", and finally, the title: "Cloverfield". Man, that would be a bit of a let down. Very Happy I don't really mind the name "Cloverfield". I like one-word titles, which this is probably going to be, and I think Cloverfield has a wonderfully meaningless, ominous tone about it.
