How are you all getting these? I sent one and all I got was the auto-responder.

Guess they don't like me...

Looks like their auto-responder has certain keywords built into it.. I sent an e-mail about employment nad mentioned I worked in R&D and got this response:

Quote:

Thank you for your interest in Triton Enterprises, where we are building the future one vision at a time.

We here at Triton Enterprises take pride in our R&D and manufacturing abilities in aerospace and defense work.

Our industry leading design in radiator retractor hoses and cold plate circuity design is second to none.

We will also be launching our secure website soon, then you'll be able to log in and learn more about our company.

Anyone get results off of different keywords?

They replied yesterday with this.

Hi Christian,

We are building the future on a far greater vision.

Stay tuned.

Which is odd, considering that earlier they denied ever hearing the name Ethan Haas.

I only now decided to send emails to the various sites. All I get from Triton is the auto-response, regardless of what I write. Are your emails only being sent during normal work hours? There doesn't seem to be any magic words you all are using.

Same problem with van Mantra--only autoresponses.

What could Triton possibly want with a snail-mail address? I find that a bit disturbing, frankly.

We would be very interested in talking to you.

When would be a convenient time for you to talk more?

Dear Mz Graham, et. al.

I am interested in learning more about your company. What is your physical
location? Could we set up a time to meet to discuss business? A firm I
represent is looking for a contractor to outsource research and development,
and your business has caught our eye. Thank you for your prompt response.

That's interesting. Not only did they respond with an original email, they specifically asked me what my schedule was for further contact. Anyone have a suggestion as to how I should respond? I'm thinking something along the lines of "I'm interested in learning more about your facilities and company. If you give me a number and time to call you, I would be more than happy to discuss a business venture further. I am available up until August 1st, when I may be taking a short vacation. I would love to get the ball rolling as quickly as possible."

Any other suggestions? This might actually pan out over here.

I was just about to post that myself...

I am currently out of the office on vacation. I will return August 1, 2007.

Best regards,
Kellie

Because that is in the script?
Imagine you are running a promotion for some game or movie or tv. You expect how many hits to your website? And out of those who visit, how many are going to hit the "contact us" button? Over 1,000 I suspect. That's a lot of emails.

These commercial games really have to rely on auto-generated responses just due to the shear volume of expected interaction attempts.

On the positive side, auto-generated responses are much faster than individual ones you get on ARGs created by grassroots or for smaller (much much smaller) audience of players.

Yeah, but a lot of people do seem to be getting personalized responses from Van Mantra, Mezin Source, and Triton Enterprises. It's not just randome, because it seems to be the same people.

I wonder if the people that have received personalized emails from Triton have done something the rest of us haven't. I haven't left any voicemails for Kellie...

For everyone that is getting the real emails, did you leave your email address on the voice message?

You just need to ask the right things is what it looks like. You need to remember that they are probably getting a ton of e-mails and need to sift through each one so it's going to take a while before they respond to yours provided it is asking some thing they want to answer. I have yet to get a reply back from my reply to the one I got and to be honest I am not holding my breath. I sent a few different e-mails to Triton at the start trying to get answers and only got a reply to one of them. You saw how vague it was too =P

Dear Sirs,

I know what you're up to, and because of that I've planted numerous explosives in your Stevenson, Washington facility.

I demand ten million dollars in exchange for safe retrieval of said devices.

You will be contacted on August 1st with the drop point.

P.S.: Resume available upon request.

I don't think I did anything special to warrant a reply. However it is possible that I asked a slightly unusual question.

Hi,

We have only seen site proposals for the resort. I believe you can find images of the resort online.

Hi,

Please keep me informed on this topic.

Also, I may be interested in investing in the Divinus Resort. Can you please
send me the contact details of the project manager?

Thank you
Now I want to see those images.
