Strange...

You seem to fit into their acceptable profile. They haven't added me either though I tried from the beginning but that's probably because I used my real myspace page (my www link on my posts.)

I can't be bothered to create a false one for this shit. Yours obviously isn't so I wonder what makes them tick.

I had a brief messaging conversation w/Rob a while back, and Beth and I still have a conversation going - but NONE of the Slusho Seven have accepted my friend requests, which I sent to all of them a few days after we found the myspace pages. I created a myspace page just to message them, so mine is quite minimal.

So, who knows? They might not have any meaningful (to us) criteria about who they add as friends.

Btw, "Bruce Campbell's chin" is your Hero...?

..."Groovy!" Wink

We were kicking around a theory a while back that the PM's had set up each friend to accept a certain number of friends -- ~700 for Jamie, ~100 for Lil, ~75 for Beth (I'm not checking those specific numbers for accuracy right now, but you know what I mean). If that's the case, could it just have just been a first-come-first-friended (FCFF) situation? If it was FCFF, then who got friended and who didn't would be fairly meaningless.

Yea, I remember that. It always made sense to me, especially if all these pages are good for is the character development for the people that will most likely complain about not getting when it hits the screen.

I also always think it's funny that "Friending" has become a useful verb. Dropping the "be" and it magically relates to online social networking. I used it at dinner with my family the other day without thinking about it, and my 19 year old sister (ironically the only one of us without a MS page) needed my dad to explain the word...(sigh)...

Edit: Check it, I typed "without thinking" twice. Then when explaining my edit, I typed "wrote typed". Cool Yea, I'm pretty awesome.

I know you all are trying to "beat around the bush" with these people for clues, but has anyone asked them if the company they work for has a website, or if they have a favorite website (besides myspace) that they like to visit or post on? Or one that they've shopped at recently?

I mean, it's kinda "up front" but not too direct to get immediately rejected.

I remember hearing about a fake sephora store being set up for the film, so possibly there is a clue associated with that company somewhere too?

I'm not sure if this has been mentioned, but have any of you tried saying something like "Hey Rob. Do you remember me? We met at the New York City Film Festival last year." Something that makes a real world reference to an event. By this, if they say "Yeah, I remember you." it shows that we interacting with the characters affects the plot. If he says something like "No, I missed it." it still supports that. If he just doesn't reply, then our interactions with the characters on Myspace mean nothing. Another scenerio to try is to invite one of the characters to Facebook or something like that.

Once again, if this has been suggested, I apologise for reiterating something. I've friend requested Rob, so, if he accepts, I might try it myself sometime.

Aw man. I didn't see the post a few up from me. I guess I was reiterating something.

This is in Ref to Marlena Diamonds Atlas Talent Agency link.
Just out of curiosity do we know the actors name?
I did a quick search for Diamond in their voice reels on the site and got 3 matches, none of them Marlena.
It would be interesting to see if her real name is listed on there.
IMDB doesnt know who plays who yet, so that didnt help.

That would be Lizzy Caplan. http://www.imdb.com/name/nm0135221/

Cheers, that turned up 0 results, so I emailed the contact at atlas with an enquiry about both names, to see if either are signed up.
This should clear up or confuse the Atlas situation clearly.

Quick thought that I haven't seen anywhere (but may have missed):

Have the number of friends that the characters have remained constant once they reached a specific number?

If so, is there -any- significance to the number of friends they have as a code, or combinations that can be used for any purpose, etc.?

If they continue to read messages, continue to respond to people...then if the friend numbers remain constant, shouldn't that at least potentially mean those numbers have some significance?

Here's a post I left a few weeks ago with friend counts. Their numbers are currently pretty similar.

Lil had 100 on August 3 and now has 103.
Hud had 123 on August 3 and now has 125.
Beth had 104 on August 3 and now has 103.
Rob had 264 on August 3 and now has 267.
Hawk had 127 on August 3 and now has 123.
LenaDia had 78 on August 3 and now has 80.
Jamie had 713 on August 3 and now has 708.

So, no one's changed by very much at all.

Did Jamie's profile always say she was "in a relationship"? Could've swore it said swinger the other day.
