Moral and Legal are not the same thing......

I concur...WTF?? Not only is it wrong legally, its wrong morally too...

I think he's trying to say that the Bible says it's ok morally to marry a newly pubescent girl.

And if the Bible says it's ok, who are we to make laws saying otherwise?

Different culture, cannot judge.

Just so no one gets any ideas, I'm being facetious and I prefer females my age.

I get your argument, but we do make laws against marrying underage children and in doing so as a society set our own moral bar.

True other cultures have different customs and attitudes towards age and marriage, but I can only view from my own cultural standpoint.

It seems to me that this ridiculous sub-thread was started by Casemyo in the post below:

Well... I am a 47 year old male and am an avid MySpace user. If you click on the www link down below you will be taken to my MySpace page. One of the things you will notice is that most of the friends on my list are either teenagers or twenty-somethings.

Hmmmm... what does that make me?

[spec]MySpace Accounts

I found today that if you search all of Rob Hawkins myspace video subscribers one of them, named Robert, supposedly 15, from USA has a SOL poster as his screen image, why have they added him? Doesn't it break the illusion? Also weirder his profile is private and you need a password to even make a friend request!!?? Soz if already out there couldn't find any such info searching you all appeared to be twanging on about incest or something!

I was so excited to see this thread at the top again, thinking there was an update. Crying or Very sad

Maybe I'm not remembering correctly, but its never been this long between log-ins on there myspace pages, has it? What gives? Are the interns on strike too even though they're unpaid?

More generally, I REALLY don't get the pacing of this game. It seemed for a while a few weeks ago that it was picking up and we got stuff every few days. The Tagruato response, some Jamie videos, suggestive comments btw Rob & Beth. Then, complete famine for over 2 weeks. I really don't understand why they didn't save some of those clues and dole them out over a period of time, rather than dumping them relatively close to one another and then just going on vacation for a few weeks. Whatever this is, I am becoming more & more unimpressed by the way they're handling it, it's just plain mean to get us all excited and then just up and stop.

I agree with you^^^^^^^^^

It will be 3 weeks this Thursday since the last update of anything (Jamie vid #3 on Oct 18 ). I think the last My Space update was Oct 2, so they've really been lagging at this end of the ARG.

It's god-awful slow right now and I don't understand the pacing at all. I have speculated that this "ARG" would ramp up around the time of the next trailer in front of Beowulf (I know its not "confirmed", but I'm going with it)...interviews from some of the cast seem to support this, but that means (if I'm right) its going to be another two weeks before anything of interest comes out.

Add on the WGA strike and if some of the updates were intended to be written or composed as the game went along, then this "ARG" could be over and its back to traditional marketing of the movie. Check out cloverfieldclues.com, there was a blurb on how the WGA strike could impact Cloverfield.

Bummer... Sad

The WGA Strike has been discussed here as well: [META]HOLLYWOOD WRITERS ON STRIKE

I posted about it today since the strike is now officially underway.

i dont know what that makes you though anteros. maybe your just a really cool older dude. thats none of my business haha.

but a side note, the writers strike really needs to end so jj can get back to work before these "pre-teen love isnt morally wrong" posters change their hobby. Evil or Very Mad
