I'm not sure about Adios, but Augie could be referencing Augie Ojeda (a baseball player I think, since Jason is a sports fan). For some reason I also want to say its a nickname for the students at a Texas university, but I can't remember for sure, or for which school. The text and color wouldn't really lend itself to either though.

In response to the straws in pictures (sorry, brain is mush and I forgot the name now that I'm in the comment) in Jason's blog he outright references downing a Slusho as a part of his routine. To me that sounds like Slusho is at least moderately established in NY IG, but whether its from a vendor or something he can stock from his fridge I'm not sure. It makes the t-shirt make more sense in the trailer, in any case, but if Slusho *is* something they can stock at home, then we'd have no idea what we were looking at with most of their drinking - for all we know they use it to mix drinks at Rob's goodbye party, instead of making slushies with it?

I haven't noticed any other direct references though...

(note to self... counting collectible cards for inventory at work and then taking a break to try and keep up with these riddles may not yield the best results Wink )

havenward, you're thinking of "Aggie", not "Augie".

I can't see the pics, because I don't have a MySpace account (yet), but is it possible Augie refers to Augie Doggie? There's an old Hanna-Barbera cartoon called "Augie Doggie and Doggie Daddy".

Slusho came from a T Shirt clue so I do wonder if those "Adios" and "Augie" T's mean something more.

I think I've said this about 50,000 times now - THE T-SHIRT DIDN'T GIVE THE CLUE ABOUT SLUSHO! Roughly two seconds after seeing the trailer, someone went on iMDB and ran a search for the movie. The movie was aka'd as "Slusho." Someone Google'd the word slusho and found the website. A few days later after the fanboy's started dissecting the trailer second by second, they discovered the shirt.

Someone who really wanted this to be an ARG and saw dragons in clouds, clues on green tea boxes, and demons in hair turned it around and claimed that the t-shirt gave it away as the clue. I repeat - investigating the movie on iMDB gave up the Slusho website!

Now if you'll excuse me, I'm going to go drink a few beers and hope I don't have to repeat this again.

That's not exactly right, at least as it applies to the timeline on this board. Someone (Tomster6911) who was near the film's shooting location reported the name "Slusho!" on July 7th, but it wasn't until people started parsing the film trailer on the 9th that Slusho.com was found. For all we know, the Slusho site didn't go live until the 9th.

Agreed Blue K. I was watching this board pretty closely and here the find came from the T (I was well aware of the "Slusho" name of the project too but here it was the T that made the link.

Whether this is an AGR or just viral marketing the spirit of the "game" also seems to dictate that the T shirt is the in game link between the two.

How do you Google a site that hasn't even been found by Google because nobody knew it existed? What, is Google now spidering sites out of the blue?

This circular logic escapes me...

On each of the myspace accounts all of their zodiac signs are emphasized. What's that all about?

I'm not sure if this belongs in this thread or in trailer/pics analysis. BUT

Theres a picture of beth drinking some blue drink, I don't know much about cocktails - but the drink is somewhat reminiscient of slusho?

I dunno. I personally think we've stopped too early. I'm sure there'd be at least one more website.

Rob mentions something about reading local forums and attempting to comprehend programming diagrams. Maybe he's been hired to upgrade that Slusho site?
I read that and wondered what the hell he's programming.. he works in marketing.. unless it's a marketing program.. lol

I think Rob was the one one of the people asked to help him create a site. I forget who but one of the friend's added a comment asking for Rob (I think) to help them program a website which was supposed to be bigger than myspace.

A Google for "Structured Programming" led me to this:
http://www.freeframers.org/archive/98/msg00594.html
which is a forum for setting up and using Adobe Framemaker:
http://www.adobe.com/products/framemaker/
Which sounds like a product Rob would work with in marketing things. Making adverts for magazines and visual aides for presentations. It's far too technical for Rob to understand, that's all.

Stuff I don't think has been picked up (character relationship wise).

Jamie and Hud both share an intrest for the show "Weeds"
AND I think they watched it together:

"Do you know how to play poker?
As a matter of fact I do! Hud just taught me Texas Hold Them."

Some of them mention things about the future:
Jamie:

"Where would you go if you could go anywhere?
The Very Distant Future!

Where do you think you'll be in 10 years?
The Not So Distant Future"

Beth:

" Who I'd like to meet:
Myself from the future! Oh, the possibilities..."

I love Weeds....my favorite line ever:

"At what point does CPR become necrophelia?"

I laughed for days.

And yet another lurker blunders his way into the thread.

Sorry guys and gals. I've been following this whole thing for a few weeks, and have been enjoying it immensely!

Anyway, I have absolutely no experience with MySpace whatsoever (no, honestly). So just wondering, how do the banner things at the top of the pages work? Just curious, as I keep seeing a Disney sponsored "Keep Oceans Clean" banner.

Probably coincidence, or at best, a nice touch from the producers, but I instantly thought of, oh I dunno, mutagenic industrial waste being dumped at sea!

Oh, and "hi" Smile
