I'm starting to think the same thing. Many of the comments will probably be deleted eventually--they can't leave all of them up. But if they do leave some, perhaps even written by the PMs, then I think it is possible that the myspace "warnings" about 1-18-08 would be in the minds of the characters. Also, it's going to be difficult to maintain the suspension of disbelief if the characters don't at some point make comments about the weird warnings people are leaving on their pages. If they do, then we'll know that we are participating in the plot--not exactly ARG-style, but literally.

Good idea, but I can't find it. I'll keep trying.

Here's an image of rob's shirt, blown up with the brightness&contrast upped. If any of you guys can figure out what those things are standing on the skeletons' heads, that'd be cool. none of the pictures seem to be in high enough resolution to resolve what they are.

Adios shirt

The skeletons on the shirt are from artwork that is now in the public domain so, it's possible the shirt was created for the game. I haven't tracked down anything on the EXACT shirt he's wearing but, I'm still looking.

EDIT. the original artwork has the number 36 in roman numerals above it? Not that we need MORE numbers floating around!

Someone else mentioned this earlier (searched, but can't find the post) - the things standing on the skeleton's head look a lot like peacocks, they're facing in toward the center and standing on each skeleton's head, w/their tails ("beautiful plumage...!") hanging down, framing the image.

But, if you look at the pic of Rob hitting the pinata, the things hanging down on either side of the image look more leathery, like bat wings. Still, they look like peacocks at the top. And, there's still two dark things at the very top (directly in front of each peacock's head) - the best look you can get at those very top figures seems to be in the 2 pics (on Rob's page) where he's holding the camera (closeups w/JJ) and the one where a guy is holding the pinata. What are those things? ("Who are those guys...?")

And, for extra credit - name the two parenthetical quoted references! Smile

peacocks, or wild turkeys...?

Also, what kind of butterfly/moth is that? There's a ton of butterfly/moth identification sites (google "butterfly identification"), and the info. you need to make an i.d. is wing pattern/shape and color; we don't have color, but that pattern is very distinct. There are many, many, many dif. types of moth/butterfly, though - I haven't found a match. Help!

I'm at work so I cant get on the Myspace pages right now but, have you done anything to that picture? Theres is a DEFINITE crop line in that photo you posted. It's just above the butterfly. It may or may not be significant but, it's DEFINITELY been cropped.

Oh My

That crop line is pretty definite.
I think theres another one lower down on the shirt.
See if you can spot it too, or if my eyes are just playin tricks on me.
BTW, I'm starting this up on a registered account.
Been lurking for two days and enough is enough

PacSun

In Hawk's blog, Rob mentions shopping at PacSun. Checked their website but neither shirt design was there. Oh well, one less rock to turn over.

Most likely an artifact of rotating the image.

you're right - definitely cropped. I checked the myspace photo and it looks pretty smooth.

I also checked the picture on Rob's page, where the man is holding the pinata - you can see the very tops (heads) of the 'peacocks' pretty clearly there. They look like praying mantis torso&heads, coming out of something that has the midsection & taloned feet of a peacock/turkey, and then, batwing-like... things.. hanging down as a kind of tail. It looks like some kind of blending of creatures. What did the Jabberwocky look like? Anyone remember that poem, or have a pic.?

I did that. I had to paste two images together to get them all into one image, all of the images cut part of the shirt off. Sorry, I should have mentioned that this was a composite.

In the pic w/the man holding the pinata...

Are those mantis heads holding forth.... eggs? Those dark blobs look like eggs, w/lizard things hatching out of them - w/both 'lizards' facing the very top of the image. It's pretty blurry, so it's hard to tell, but does anyone else see anything like that?
