Lol... No doubt!

Until yesterday, Beth was sending messages, asking lat. riddle questions at least once a day (except on weekends). But, nothing yesterday and nothing today.

How many messages do you think each character receives each day? How would they sift through all of those? If it's just marketing, then it's not such a logistical problem: just tell your interns or whoever to avoid certain taboo subjects, and otherwise, be like the characters, be like a myspace person, be nice (or don't say anything at all), and answer whichever ones you feel like answering.

But, if there's any kind of 'clues' - or any ARG-related information - in their responses, then that's a diff. story. How would you manage that, if you were a PM?

Hey, I've got an idea: The Cthulhu Cult of Unfiction (of which I am a former member) is still at large. I haven't got a MySpace, but someone should ask one of the more book-prone members of the Slusho what they think of the work of H.P. Lovecraft. Maybe then we'll have some good anti-Cthulhu proof.

Nitsujest - you should post your communications w/all the myspace characters on the thread entitled: "[PUZZLE] Archive of Conversations with MySpace Characters." It'd be helpful. Smile

Used search, didn't find this.

I was looking at the myspace pages and saw that LenaDia is not one of HUD's friends and vice versa, obviously. This is the only deviation from the usual friend roster. Significance?

Well read your search better, because yes, this has been pointed out tons of times.

I tried sending her a message about it but she ignored me.

Has anybody else had a thread of conversation going w/one of the characters, only to have the character just stop responding altogether? It happened for me w/Rob and Beth. ??

It makes me think that myspace interaction isn't part of any 'game' but is just marketing. What kind of game would be feeding you info. and then just stop? Unless the 'puzzle' is to keep sending different messages to eventually get a response - but, that would swamp them w/messages that they probably couldn't filter and answer quickly enough. So, I don't know - I'm starting to think that our ability to 'interact' w/the characters on myspace is just a sideshow.

Either the intern(s) responsible for posting the myspace responses has left for college (most begin pretty soon), gone on vacation, or the myspace stuff has gone bust. So far, despite some intriguing stuff with the House of Leaves thing, and a couple interesting conversations with Rob, I've yet to see anything that is either ARGish or that even leads to any clues about the film in myspace.

That said, I'm still wondering about Rob's "adios" shirt. That always did strike me as an oblique reference to the events coming 1-18-08 (death and rebirth symbols). To date, I don't think anyone's found that shirt so it seems to be a one-off, meaning that it's "IG" to the extent there is a game in the first place.

couple of quick ideas i just randomly thought of shoot me if its been said b4.

ok now the lateral puzzle thing seems to be a shoe in to finding out what she knows/can tell. mabye ur asking the wrong puzzle, how bout asking one like
7 close friends in new york get attacked by a monster etc etc

i dunno mabye its like "you ask the questions" "to answer yourself"

and so mabye each character has a certain individual response type.

as for the others it seems only a couple of people are responding kind of like the photos, get them 1 at a a time, so it would logically start with jamie.

I sent Jamie a message a few days ago that said......"hey just thought you would like to know how hott you are. I am going to tell all my friends"

I got this comment from her today.

Jamie "I appreciate someone taking notice of how hot I am. Always makes my day. You're not bad yourself. Is that your girl? How about you ditch her and we grab some chinese?"

well i noted this in another thread, but figured i should post it here:

almost all of their accounts were created 6/13/07... interesting

also, minor note: jamie is obviously a huge drinker which could point to the party in the trailer

Just a quick question... Sorry if it's been posted. I either missed it or am just too dumb to find the answer:

HOW do you find out the date a myspace account was created?
