Here is my update.

Watchers: Large crowd, camera crews doing outtakes etc., basic ground shots taken. They are still just destroying the car.

Scenery: Ash everywhere and made getting a pack of matches from the deli around the corner and fake rumble everywhere as well. Its just a regular chaos scene. People are covered in ash, women children etc. Food from resturant was covered as well. (Here's an issue with that. Its January/December in the movie. Why is the resturaunt having there outside area open? Theres the first problem i kind of for see, unless its part of an ongoing ordeal.) I believe they are starting to film now. Probably take a break in about half an hour.

Crew: Clueless as everybody else. The crew know/guess at all the names the production has gone through. Of course JJ and Paramount execs are keeping the name to themselves. Easy to get buy them if you tell them you live in one of the buildings. All screens are now blocked off though and it seems a lot more crew have arrived. They do seem very talkative/excited though (even though they have probably been here 12 plus hours now). Talk to the ones on the inside of the set and you'll generally get decent responses.

Gathering from what I've heard too, the crowd generally knows what it is, ie referring to it as "the monster movie" so they aren't keeping necessarily tight lip about the idea, but of course Paramount has successfully let out the only information that they want out, ie a monster movie in which NYC gets destroyed.

Something like this? Just carry around a couple rolls of duct tape and call yourself a gaffer. A bonus is that they'll let you closer to the equiptment.

For the record, chocolateoutrage.com was registered on the 29th, through domainsbyproxy. This makes it viable for a possible future related site, unless we hear from someone who has seen these tags before yesterday.

i was going to go like 3 hours ago. stuff came up oh well i'm sure there will be other days to go see them make a wrecked street.

but i wonder what they're filming. since the destruction we see in the trailer was already shot.

Crew members rock. They know a little bit about it it. I spoke with one and they have confirmed all thoughts on it. Here's more tidbits of information. Today is the first day of the shoot here in NYC. They will finish tonight. The post about them wrapping in NYC and starting soon in LA is completely reverse. They just completed filming in LA and just started here today. The cast is definitely out there. The guy with the SLUSHO shirt is the guy from the preview, they live at The Orchard (refer to cloverfan's videos/pictures) and they run down Orchard street.

Again, this is what I was told, not necessarily 100% true. (major issue I see is the placement with what appears to be the Empire state building in the background of the end of the trailer, yet as we all know, the Empire state is much farther than that picture leads you to believe). Go and have fun with the information.

Tight lipped about filming dates and places. Look around day before for the police tags. They are canning the name "Cheese" after this one. but that was obvious.
