ANYWAY. . . people at the first shooting said they overheard the crew talking about it being in and around central park.

Any mention of which park? Both Bryant and Central Parks intersect with 6th ave in NYC? Granted Central Park is 6 blocks closer than Bryant, but regardless there are two sizable parks in the vicinity...

Precisely why I'm suspicious as to how legit this is...there's no way they could close down 6 blocks on such a busy avenue, even late at night. I still want a photo of the notice to confirm it, though I'm also waiting for a contact who has access to filming schedules in the city to get back to me.

PS I'm pissed I still don't have my Slusho shirt, I was going to wear it to the shoot.

they're not closing down all 6 blocks thats just how far the two parks in question are from eachother.

This is probably late but they filmed again on Stanton and Orchard. Theres a pit where they blew out a building earlier this year and have been building, but it had a camera crew in it today. odd i know.

I think they are done. Sorry no pictures though.

So here's some confirmation for you all. Sunday night, starting at 8 PM, what seems to be 56th or 57th to Central Park the Cheese crew will be filming. I pulled this off a lamp post on 58th and 6th, after my bike ride in Central Park. I would have checked how far down they went, but I was 20 miles into my ride, had another 5 over a bridge to get back home to queens, and it was like 95 out, which means it felt like 140 in NYC.
It makes more sense to close down blocks on a Sunday night as that's the least busy night in NYC, and 6th ave runs one way to the park, so it will have a minimal impact on traffic. I'd check it out, but I'm going to see the Dave Brubeck Quintet at Lincoln Center.

Just the link, because I haven't scaled down the photo at all.

You know, Jessica Alba could be walking through Central Park naked and nobody would notice because everyone's paying attention to the Cloverfield production crews.

Instinct would take over. I'd notice.

poor Jessica Alba. She's only been in maybe two good flicks. she needs a better agent.

what's the topic of this thread?

...a question for you NYC folk- are they sticking to a true route? noted before, most often films will jump locations within the same scene, but for this- since it's going to be in real time (possibly?) are they headed down the same path most of the way?

what I'm trying to get at here- I think it'd be cool to put together a map of the path they're taking... (wheels turning yet kids?) we put together a map of their current route, then we could be able to pin point where they're going. Or are we thinking the park is going to be the showdown?

maybe this is way off...

Does that mean they're just filming on Sunday night, not Monday during the day at all? Argghh...will be in the city on Monday and was hoping to convince my bf to drive by the shooting of some random rubble, lol.

It means they want people to move their cars tonight so they can set up all day tomorrow and probably film all night tomorrow night.

PS Thanks for the confirmation Scott. I managed to get off work so hopefully I'll be able to stalk the set all night. I might even bring a chair hahaha. I'll definitely bring my lion though. He's huge.

If anyone visiting the set tomorrow sees a guy with stretched earlobes and a lip ring, that'd be me...don't be afraid to say hi.
