I'd have to wager someone from that camp very much is paying close attention, particularly here (and hey good luck on the thread of doom!). Recall the obvious: they had the site trackers up there, they KNOW damn well specific pages referring visitors to those sites, they KNOW where the traffic just came from and it's a fact that a huge number of referrer links were from here, back before the thread of doom got so bloated with BS. That's what trackers are for - see who your audience is, see where they're coming from, and then checking up on it to see if what your product is, is pulling the right eyes in.

And I still think it's just a tad curious how just about every heads up this board's gotten on either site has come from "guest" just tossing off an incidental comment that leads down a real path with results. Who, specifically, it is in that camp, who knows...doesn't matter. What we should keep in mind is that when we all slam into the wall and the momentum theme changes to "fuck this"...lo and behold there's an update, or a lead, or a change on the heels of it. I picked up on that from just working out that initial timeline - going through the posts page for page and it's relatively easy to see how it moved and why.

Take the myspace pages for example. I never found any of that one way or the other, but very early on, I did post 3 different times that it would be entirely kickass if somehow off one of either sites we managed to root out a blog of one of the characters and watch their lives leading up to 1-18....and when they updated the 5th pic, and the stuff on the back, lo somebody happened to jump on myspace to see about it and here we are, now with character blogs. Whether or not the characters will ultimately interact with the player base, I couldn't say. On the one hand it would make it all the more awesome an experience to be able to draw into their lives, but on the other would be the dipshits out there who'd start posting about 1-18 and "warning" them and ruining it for everyone.

(And then my peeve - when I'd pot watch the 1-18 site it didn't do shit, but soon as I Xed out, BAM, another pic goes up....I was starting to take that personally )

What should be pretty clear is that the Wizard of Oz aint oblivious to this board or any others out there that are actively pushing a player base.
