Is it just me, or are we not able to access the Log pages at http://www.christopherforrest.com/ like we used to.

Also, was all of that part of the "PROLOGUE EPISODE" and if so, I wonder now, if someone was new to it all --- where to they go - what do they start with?

I guess it would be the Triad Genomics site... but I'm a little confused. I thought we solved all of the puzzles (1 -3) listed on the log and received in email --- and all the pages we found doing guessing about finding log entries on the TG site.

Since I'm lost -- will someone point me to where I should be looking to find/solve the next puzzle/place/item/person?

I had been very excited up until the tour started -- then it seemed to 'melt down' or I'm just soooooo off and would really, really appreciate some direction.

Yeah, I was thinking the same sort of thing.... I'm not sure whether we're supposed to be solving anything right now or not. I realize Chris must have his hands full touring, but it's been far quieter than I would have expected in the first week after a new book release.

And what's up with www.thegenesiscode.com? It went from being a really slick, flash-encoded site to a single (amateurish) page... not the kind of thing that would attract new players, IMO. Maybe Tor-Forge is pulling the plug on the project?

 		Thanks for pointing out about the flash page. Thing is, you can't get to it without knowing about it. I was thinking about new folks - maybe after getting the book - going to http://www.thegenesiscode.com/ does not get you to that cool flash page.

The 'game' page, http://www.thegenesiscode.com/main used to be linked to the http://www.christopherforrest.com/playthegame.html

Now the link is removed. Sad

There have been no updates but as GlitteringGold pointed out, he may be busy -- or, my fear, they pulled the plug.

Will stay hopeful ...

 		I'm probably just being impatient, but it's a little ominous that Christopher doesn't have any upcoming appearances scheduled on the Tor-Forge site... (http://www.tor-forge.com/Appearances.aspx)

What do you guys think? Is it too early to send Christopher an OOG message (cdflawSPLATyahoo.com) asking him if the game is still on?

I got a similar message too, which is the only reason I'm hanging on here. I really WANT the game to go on, but a lengthy delay like this seems like a sure-fire way to kill interest, not spark it.

Ok, not sure whether anyone else is still playing this game... but thought I'd let you guys know what I've found in the most recent message on Chris' Livejournal site and message from Lien (posted above):

If you take the first character in each line, it spells out "THEGENESISCONSPIRACYCOM". www.thegenesisconspiracy.com is indeed a webpage, with a single image of the Mayan Calendar I first saw briefly on the www.christopherforrest.com page. Not sure if it's significant, but the name of the image file is 1_0_1_1_0_1_0_1_1_0_1_1_0_1_0_1_1_0_1.jpg. It's possibly binary, but it doesn't appear to convert to anything meaningful (to me at least).

A review of the source code indicates that our buddy Quiz Goertz is the author.


Not sure what to do with this information, but it's nice to see that there are new puzzles to be solved.

Incidentally, in reviewing some of the older materials/puzzles, we made the whole LAMAT thing out to be much harder than it was. LAMAT is the Mayan Star Symbol... what better hint that we were looking for astral coordinates than to throw a few stars into the clue....

I'm still not sure whether the Scorpio clue gives us anything, unless it's a suggestion that Lien Meihui is now in Kyoto (Scorpius is part of China's "Azure Dragon of the East constellation", and the Azure Dragon statue watches over the city of Kyoto, Japan). A new location, perhaps?
