If the stamp is placed exactly the same way on both envelopes, I'd think it's worth looking to. Why put a stamp on like that, not once but twice, and have no meaning attached to it?

The stamp is the same, but the positioning is different. It's like, straight and in the corner. Though I can admit that putting stamps on is not the easiest to do with any consistency, esp now that we've lost the ability to over-lick them for squishy adjustability Razz

I have an Uncle who knows a lot about Mayan culture and numerology. I am going to give him a call and see what he makes out of the numbers on the bar code.

Also on the envelope the return address is different from the post mark. Addy is Lame Deer MT while Postmark is North Platte NE. about nine hours away. Kinda far out of the way to post a letter.

I call smudge. Whoever wrote the letter must have written it while it was still in the notebook and must have pressed REALLY HARD, because the letters are raised on the reverse side. There's a huge difference between how the letters look and feel and that smudge/dash.

Ok so I am really new to these and this one seems to be extra hard so forgive me if i am way off. But most ARGs are web based, so maybe we should be looking at the numbers and everything as an IP address or some sort of web address? Also has anyone really gone over the evelop to see if there is anything odd there numerically? I am Canadian so i am not sure what would be missing from a US address.

I never thought of it like that. I mean, yeah the street address is missing, but I was just writing that off as the PM not wanting anyone mailing the address/a bunk address. But maybe that is what was meant. I mean, the majority ARGs are started on the net and are then played on the net. So maybe since this one started through the mail, we have to figure out an address and send mail back? BTW, just brainstorming really. Don't take any of this too seriously. /).-

Also, on the mayan numbered stickers, the tinier stars are missing.

Shipping or mailing barcodes perhaps? Maybe we can take them down to Fedex or the post office and see where they would go?

Remember how the PS says always look for what you are missing.
We are obviously missing stars in the bar code so we need to look up some sort of constellation or something that has to do with stars. Now I see as was just stated that the smaller stars are missing as well as the four large ones.

Are those actually smaller stars? It's hard to tell from the scans, but they look like printer giblets to me.

Based on that picture, it looks like there should be two thin black lines at the beginning?

But then again i'm watching all this from australia so i dunno how american barcodes work.

That's okay I'm from here and I STILL don't know how they work XD.

Oh, and that's not the original.
Those can be found in page one, if you didn't know before (just thought I'd bring that out into the open)

I found this

Major Maya gods included Itzam Ná, Creator God a reptilian deity, In the daytime he is the Sun God: Kinich Ahau. His feathery serpent mode was Kukulkán, and his wife, Ix'Chel, the Moon and rainbow goddess, they were parents of the four Bacabs. or guardians of the cardinal points.

If you look at the small missing stars it looks like a serpent of some kind.

Four cardinal points falls into our number 4 category and maybe has something to do with the four missing larger stars.

Note how the sun god is only called Kinich Ahau during the day time. He is Itzam Na Creator God a reptilian Diety at other times.

EDIT: Orions belt is closely related to the Sun God and Creation God. Stars, orion?

Okay, since I'm a very visual person, I have some pictures (and observations).

http://i176.photobucket.com/albums/w174/degravedi/starlabels-1.jpg
http://i176.photobucket.com/albums/w174/degravedi/starlabels2.jpg

The first one shows the location of all the small and large stars, the second one singles out the small stars on the first label. I also noticed that the small star pattern is identical to the larger star pattern minus the two rightmost small stars (which are missing from the larger pattern). Also and more importantly, if you overlay the numerical sticker over the mayan sticker THERE ARE NO LARGE STARS MISSING!!
