Sorry for the abrupt introduction but I've been lurking for a while and just recently got an account on unfiction. I recently read through the exhaustive amount of posting, and find it all quite interesting. I don't know who this PM thinks he's dealing with, because these clues are very vague to say the least, but you are all clever and I hope I can add some speculative power to the group. Have any of you received/noticed anything since the map last changed?

Well, welcome Vman! This has been a VERY frustrating ARG. The best thing to do is hop in to the chat @ chat-solutions.org:6667. #tomtooman and talk to the Vets. They'll have no problem getting you caught up and listening to any "Way out" theory you have. I know this because I hop into chat and drop some way out stuff but, they humor me! Smile
As far as the map change goes, the only communication anyone has had with the PM has been posted on the forum. The last time anyone heard from the PM is in the form of a letter sent to a Mr. Rushkoff who isn't associated with "Unforums". It's listed in the previous posts.

Baby not in tow...

Hey guys, came home for the night to check on the cat and dog, thought I'd look and see what's new. The wife is still at the hospital, but doing well, our little Mia was born at 12:24 pm yesterday(Aug 25th), weighing in at 7 lb 2 oz, and 20 inches long. Gorgeous baby, but if any of you had seen me(ok, my wife) that'd be no surprise. Very Happy

I've had an idea for a while, but we've never been able to test it, maybe one of you that reads the forums can help. I want to know if we can call the main directories on ajkin.com. Metaphorically, I guess, as in DOS, a way to C:\>dir and see what's within the site other than test.swf or testa.swf. This could really lead somewhere. Or, maybe I'm just grasping. Secondly, anyone with real flash experience, I'm 99.9% sure that "red cloud" is the only "password," per se. There's still that .1% that might be wrong. Please check it out, see if there are any other words that might call something else, or perhaps an external link or any sorts. To the #tomtooman faithful, keep hope alive. I'll be there in the AM, we'll talk more then.

[Update]

The site updated tonight, I think sometime around 9:00pm PDT. The glyphs page has gone wonky and by mousing over the bars you can cycle through the different calender glyphs. The center bar always returns you to today's glyphs, and by mousing over the left glyph and clicking on it, you'll get to the map.

I just noticed this, perhaps the PM is getting bored of the floundering and lack of interest of his game now. Anyways, anyone willing to look at the frequency/sequence of each bars' shifting glyphs? I think something can b e found there. someone could also document each date based on the glyphs and see if there's a pattern. At least something new happened on ajkin, now we just gotta figure it out. Should be a bit more obvious (Hopefully lol)

The 5 bars underneath the glyphs are more like "rewind - slow rewind - stop - slow fast forward - fast forward". I tried getting to the end but it just seems to cycle. Some of the "dots" on the mayan numbers now have "c"'s on them....

I agree it looks like a frustrated PM saying "duh - its so easy its right in front of your eyes"

Well, now it makes sense that the site is updated, both because we seem to be completely ignorant in the eyes of the PM but also because there's a lunar eclipse tonight. Anyone know the significance of eclipses in Mayan theology/astronomy, does it have anything to do with rebirth? We need some info from you info crushers about now...

maybe the "c" that now appears in the month/week/day circle today signifies the eclipse.

The Mayan symbols are going completely insane.

Right symbol has a tiny picture of the earth in it.

Maybe click the bars in a certain order?

No idea what any of this means, but it's sure fun to look at.

Woah now, easy people. Let's not be so fast to put ourselves down. I don't think it has anything to do with us not getting it. The latest version of the flash has increased ten fold, this wasn't a minor "nudge" update, this was a major add on, I am 96% convinced that Ajkin.com just isn't finished, especially since the .swf is called test.swf and its companion is testa.swf. I think it really means he's testing things. There will be some things added in the future, and then I think this will really begin. So everybody keep your heads up, we're not dumb people, and we will solve Tooman when the time is right. Just keep an eye on the site and remember that we got our first real update on the change from Ajaw to Imix, which comes back around again in a few days, Aug 31st is Imix. Well that's my long post for the day. As always,

Cool Beans, Peace.

Since it seems like we need to consider studying the numerals a bit more, here is something interesting to read:
http://www.biologydaily.com/biology/Maya_calendar

Now if we look closely, Mr. Tooman is not following the Mayan system exactly, so I'm not sure if that is something "mssng" or not.

Quote:
Each day was identified by a day number within the month followed by the name of the month. Day numbers began with a glyph translated as the "seating of" a named month, which is usually regarded as day 0 of that month, although a minority treat it as day 20 of the month preceding the named month.

Quote:
Wayeb

The five nameless days at the end of the calendar called Wayeb were thought to be a dangerous time. Lynn Foster writes that, "During Wayeb, portals between the mortal realm and the Underworld dissolved. No boundaries prevented the ill-intending deities from causing disasters." To ward off these evil spirits, the Maya had customs and rituals they practiced during Wayeb. For example, people avoided leaving their houses or washing or combing their hair.

Need confirmation

Is it me, or is the map no longer accessible on ajkin.com?

ETA - Saw the reply. Never mind.
